  1. The key word there is "good" I have seen some really really bad oils being produced. It's all about what solvent has been used for the extraction and the purge it has gone through to get rid of the solvent. There unfortunately are a lot of dishonest people out there wanting to make some quick money and they will not use the correct solvents and not purge them properly.

I personally take oil every day as well as my whole family , ypu need to find a reputable person to make it for you or make it yourself. You have to remember you are already dealing with a person that is sick and dieing so you have to make sure what they get won't hurt them even more , which bad oils will do.

    Cheers

    Thanx GLO

Next question: So now lets say, I have been diagnosed with cancer and I am currently going for chemotherapy or having a tumour removed....what benefits will the Cannabis Oil provide?

  2. Hey Guys

Hope everyone is in good health and enjoying their most favourite plant. I've decided to start this topic since I havent come across one that gives straight forward, helpful and effective advice.

As many of you might have witnessed in your lives, it is becoming more common to have friends or family members diagnosed with cancer, cancer-related illnesses or any other life threatened sickenesses. I find it frustrating to know that there is nothing much I can currently do to help them recover, live longer or completely overcome their illness.

So I'd like to know from the more experienced users, What immediate cannabis related advice can I give to such friends are family members?

(provided that the advice is guarenteed to help them recover, eat properly, maintain a positive lifestyle)

  3. Would be easier to take  a cutting and root it. It's also very late in the season to be taking cuttings from an avo , usually you want to do it in spring when there is lots of new growth on the tree. Also good to remember even from cutting or grafting it could take up to 7 years to produce fruit. If you get really desperate I can check my tree to see if there any viable placing to take cutting .

Thanx GLO! Im not in a hurry, i can wait till your tree starts budding. 7 years is better than 20 years! :) We'll pick this up in spring then thanx

  4. The avo drought getting to you HB? :-puffin

Lol Bro! You dont wana know! Hahaha

But yeah, i've got a small Avo tree that needs grafting so it can get bigger and produce some avo's. Found out avo's grown from seed only produce fruit after 15 - 20 years of maturity!

  5. Exactly guys! Rather safe than sorry - Can always grow again. Which brings me to my next discovery = One beautiful Small Cannabis Tree growing in the yard of the new house i just moved into on Monday. Excellent outdoor growth, fan leaves as long as about 15cm, good amount of nodes. What are the odds hey!?

  6. Hey Guys. So for those of you interested in the results of Baby North, well...sadly she was chopped down abruptly due to the following short and undetailed story.

So it turned out that a fellow resident in my area turned out to be a MUCH bigger Heisenberg than I am (Meth Distributor). That resulted in a raid in the unsuspecting morning, which lead to sniffer dogs everywhere, which lead to paranoia and chopping up Baby North who had about 5 weeks left and me lying low on the grow for the festive season until we eventually moved to new premises.

But yeah. Thats the sad story :(

  7. Need more pics of the Base of the plant and the lower leaves. That is a late progression of a few deficiencies , to properly diagnose the problem on a lot of them I need to know how it started. That doesn't strike me as N deficiency as that's a big pot for a small plant , N deficiencies start at the Base of the plant and work it's way up the plant while others start at the top or middle.

You guys should really be mixing your own soils... organic mixes may have everything in them that the plant needs but rely on the microbes to process them for your plants , so you may have plenty of what ever is lacking but your soil is unable to process it properly. Jamies soil may have everything in it that the plant needs but doesn't make it a good soil. It's like baking you may have put all the ingredients in but without that precious bacteria , yest, it will not

    Rise and be shit.

    What's your soil pH?

    Cheers

    GLO

    Hey GLO

I've got no idea about the pH. Dont have all that equipment. I am considering mixing my own soils once I move next year Jan. Here's some more pictures:

Some close up shots, I can tell the difference between these bud's and my previous plants buds:

  8. Hey All. Have you heard about a new drug called SPICE? Its a synthically created version of marijuana, mimicing the effects of THC, but instead having a Chemical name of Cannabicyclohexanol.

Check how bad the effects of this drug is!!

  9. I see N def and Mag def on your plant CK. I'm pretty sure the mag def is the cause of those cupping leaves. Have the lower leaves yellowed an died? If yes its definitely mag def. It really is time to start feeding her now. As GLO says, compost tea will not do the trick.

I'm no organic fundi but if you're not keen on Biobizz maybe try some of these cheap organic supermarket alternatives

    • Epsom salts - for the mag def. 1-2 Tablespoons per 5L of water
    • Seagrow and/or Nitrosol - for the N def amongst others
    • Guanoflo or GoOrganic Seabird Guano - Not cheap at around R120 but cheaper than Biobizz

I'm pretty sure these are deemed organic ::) or perhaps I could be corrected. I don't see a problem with using them on an organic grow personally. These are only good for veg though so once you get to flower you're gonna need to make another plan.

You don't wanna waste time holding out with the soil as it is now, you won't have anything to smoke at the end :-puffin

@CK This should not be happening with a JGS mix! I suggest you go back to Jamie and ask why the soil is lacking certain nutrients. Just my :-2cents

Word! Im also growing with JGS and I aint lacking anything...

  10. Update: Baby North is smelling Good! I wish though that id vegged longer, i didnt factor in the pest attack would slow growth down. So after the pest attack I shoulda done another 3 weeks to bounce Baby North bank and then switch to 12/12. Anyway, trial and error

  11. H2O2 I'm telling you!

Lol you swear by that stuff hey. Yeah, I suppose it did work. That and a combination of brute force handpicked removal.

The think is, whenever I water and leave the catch try filled up and hidden from light and evaporation - the next day I find a small crystal-like hive and thousands of small twitching insects. This means they must be coming from the soil...
