  1. Awesome, will remember this. Thanks bro Biltong and Buds did give me 1 free auto seed. So will possibly get another 40l fabric pot and soil to get this one started next month.
  2. Thanks brother. I am going to need all the help and guidance I can get, so really appreciate it
  3. Thanks bro, appreciate it. I live in Durbs. Thankfully we had a super warm weekend, but will watch the weather and bring the plants in at night if we get some more colder nights.
  4. I did get a little excited once I had everything all together. The last part was waiting for my seeds, so as soon as those were delivered, I went straight into the germination phase
  5. Thanks brother, appreciate it Yeah, the pots this time round is more to see if the medium dries up much faster in the fabric compared to the plastic. I have read mixed reviews on this, so wanted to try first hand myself for future grows
  6. Whatsup my 420 family As the title indicates, this is going to be my First Outdoor Growing Experience I must admit, I have 2 plants busy growing in organic potting soil that I have been using as test subjects These were just 2 seeds I got from some decent buds I got a little while back, decided to try the germination process and planting them. I wanted to do this first, as I didn't want to go all out and purchase seeds and medium when I couldn't get the first steps half right None the less, this will be Officially, my First Outdoor Grow Diary. So lets kick this Dairy off with the seeds The seeds have all been purchased through Biltong and Budz (for the first time buying seeds, I must say, these guys delivered some awesome service). They are also all Photoperiod seeds. Banana Kush [Feminized] Sunset Sherbet [Feminized] Platinum OG [Fast Feminized] Bruce Banner [Fast Feminized] As for the Medium, I went with Freedom Farms Premium Classic Living Soil. For Nutrients, I have gone with Terra Aquatica Pro Organic Grow and Bloom. For Pots, I have decided to go with 2 x 40l Fabric Pots and 2 x 30l Plastic Pots, wanted to experiment between the 2. Excuse the pictures, taking pics isnt a specialty of mine but I will try get better shots as these ladies grow Just some random shots of a seed during the germination stage (all my other pics were blurry AF), Medium, Nutrients, and their homes.
  7. Aweh @Bospatrollie2, Oh nice bro. Silly question, is it ok for the plants to get a lot of shade during the day in these weather conditions compared to direct sunlight? Or is more sun always the winner? Thank you for all the info, appreciate it
  8. So true dude. It is sounding like a great plan in the head right now
  9. Hey @GGG, Thanks for the reply bro I have been so excited, looking through a few of the forums and seeing how knowledgeable and friendly everyone has been. So awesome to be apart of the community here I will totally look into the FF Custom Crafted soil as well. Might try doing 1 pot with this to try and do some sort of comparisons or maybe I am thinking to big now, baby steps, 1 grow at a time
  10. Hey @afternoon blazer, Thank you for the reply bro, appreciate it. I am getting, Banana Kush, Sunset Sherbet, Platinum OG and Bruce Banner It's so dam hard picking seeds, Like I want them all Shot for the charts
  11. Ok awesome, thanks so much bro. I will give this a bit of a read, appreciate it
  12. Ok awesome, I will go read up on the BioBizz website and look into compost teas as well, thanks bro. I am pretty excited for the journey to be honest
  13. Hey @CoolJ Thanks for the reply man What sort of cover crops would you suggest grows well in the warm/humid KZN weather? Never actually thought of doing this, my mind went straight to pesticides
  14. Hey @Fridgedoor, Thank you for the response. Ok, sweet. I will definitely go with the initial plan of FF. Regarding the BioBizz stuff, how much would I need for 4 plants as I see they are sold in a 1l and a 5l. Would you recommend going with the Bio-Grow for Veg and Bio-Bloom for flowering and would that be enough in regards to nutrients? Or, what else would you recommend going with over the BioBizz range? I am guessing there a huge noticeable difference in the quality of your buds when using nutrients? Is it quite common to run into either insecticides/fungicides in each grow cycle? Noob question
  15. Hey Growers, I am almost ready to start my first official grow diary, but needing a little guidance on soil and nutrients as well as the best places to get hold of the stuff. I am in Durban, to give you an idea of temp/humidity and location. I have just ordered some Feminized seeds from Biltong and Buds. The plan is, to have 4 plants growing in about 20 - 30l pots outdoor. Mediums I am planning on using FF Organic Classic Soil (Is this still a decent mix, or should I rather be looking for something different? Any Suggestions here?) Nutrients I have seen a lot of people talking BioBuzz products. What would you suggest for an outdoor grow and is it really necessary? Pesticides To be honest, haven't done much research on pesticides. What would you suggest and is it really necessary preparing for worst case scenarios or is it better to wait and see what nature throws at me? My goal here is to grow some dank buds without needing to dig too deep into the wallet. However, I am willing to purchase the necessary ingredients to make the end result, top quality Hopefully above average to be honest
  16. @Ill_Evan Thank you so much man, appreciate you answering all my questions. @PsyCLown I most certainly am going to start my grow sometime soon I just need to still do a bit of research around everything and start finding out places to purchase stuff e.g. nutrients, seeds etc I am planning on doing Outdoor for now as a starting point, indoor does seem cool, but I dont have the cash up front to go down this road. I will definitely be starting a new thread sometime soon, as I am going to need a lot of advice in the beginning
  17. Hi 420SA I am new a member to the forum, long time smoker and hopefully soon to be grower I love this plant and all its benefits. I have been browsing through the forum but cannot find my answers yet so hoping someone can help and guide me What I wanted to find out is, also not sure if I am posting this in the right section or if this has been discussed recently. But, what is the current legal situation with growing your own plants at home? Am I allowed to grow as many plants as I want or is their a legal limit? If my neighbors see the plants and if they assholes, could they report me to the cops? If cops drive past my house and see the plants growing, are they allowed to come and arrest me or confiscate my plants? Basically in short, what can I do and what should I try avoid?
