  1. Quick update: Turns out my grow light did draw a bit too much attention ( clearly visiable during nightime through my windows even with blinds down ) Some peeps complained to the owner of my flat ( so i assume ) and out of the blue he whatsapped me because he wanted to " check up on a crack in the wall " - bear in mind he never did this before and clearly is just trying to get in my flat to see if i am growing cannibis ( he would kick me out for sure if he found out ). And the shitty thing is he has a key to my flat. So i moved my three plants to a friend and he will be taking care of them for me. Will keep you posted.
  2. @ydt Here are a few photos of the diodes on my light.
  3. @ydt Thank you for the information buddy. So the good news for me is that it is a full spectrum light, but the bad news is that it only has a 100W output? Does the output increase since the light i have has 10W chips instead of 3W chips? @PsyCLown Thank you very much. How do i check what type of diodes the manufacturer used? I really appreciate all the advice and replies!
  4. @CreX No tent yet saving up for one!
  5. @CreX Thank you. Yeah i have my doubts with my light, i will defnitly try to take them into sunlight. Only problem is i only have a balcony view .. and it is right next to the entrance of the estate i live in. I don't want to draw too much attention, but i will try to make a plan. I am so excited to grow these 3 plants! Hopefully everything goes well.. but i still need a ph meter, humidity and temp meter as well as a fan and air filter.
  6. @MentalYeti Lol! Same,my grow area is also about 1 square meter. Is there any way that you could maby test the wattage of the light since we have the same one. Only if you have a multimeter ortherwise no stress bud.
  7. I have 3 plants at the moment, roughly 2-3 weeks old i think. Named White Monopoly Capital , Boerboel and Deez Buds. Deez buds seems to have a genetic abnormality on its leaves. Is it worthwile to continue growing him/her? I have them under a 1000w ( 150w actual draw prob ) Led light 18 hours on 6 hours of. Deez nuts had a little mold on the the soil,so i sprinkled some Diatomaceous Earth on the soil. All pots are 25L. Wish me luck and feel free to give advice.
  8. @CreX Thanks bud. The light is pink/blue ish when it is on. Don't know if it should be that way? How do i run the tests ( i dont have or know what testing equipment to use ) . I will post a grow diary now
  9. @PsyCLown Man it sucks to hear i have been ripped off. This is the link i used when i bought it: https://m.takealot.com/#!product?id=PLID53771740 Thanka i will lower my light to 60cm. Do you think i will be able to succesfully grow my first cannibis with this light alone? Are there any other lights you would reccomend that is in the same price range?
  10. @MentalYeti Thank you for your response. I will go check out other related posts. It is weird that the manufacter stated the light should be 1.5 - 2m above plants. I have mine set at 100cm above plants, it is great to hear your plants are doing better. Thanks for the advice.
  11. Good day fellow growers. I recently got a 1000W Full spectrum LED grow light for my first indoor grow. My Questions: 1) Does it really emit 1000W as stated (only paid R1600 for it) or is the actual wattage much lower? If so, how do i find out what the actual wattage is? 2) How far should i place them from my plants? Kind regards
