Aaasrgh! The wind knocked her over on Sunday afternoon...ugly gusts of wind picked up late afternoon... She lost a branch, couple of fan leaves and the main stem was split from the top about 8cm...taped her up as best I could and it looks ok for now

So the young girl turned into a lady!
Fed some nutes this morning and the weather looking awesome in Cape Town today.- 2

Yesterday's wind almost ripped her apart lol! Will leave her inside as the wind is nasty in Cape Town today as well... She got her afro puff perm back this morning.
Will transplant her to 20l grow bag this weekend...otherwise all good.- 2

Well now you making me think... This is my 1st grow, so not sure how big she'll grow lol!Oh ok, but you will be flowering her outside? So still a long time until she starts to flower so she is going to get BIIIG.
I do not think 20L will suffice, you will need to go bigger I think, although you can use 20L for now. -
No, end goal is to keep her in pot... Next grow will be in the ground fully outdoor.Ahh ok, so the end goal is to put it into the ground?
Yeah, 20L should be fine then and then afterwards put it into the ground. Even 10L may suffice for now, just until the weather improved a bit.- 1

Will keep it in pot but move outside when needed... Weather still not too great to plant outside just yet... Got some cheese and skunk beans that will go in the back garden late next month... Will start germination next week.Looking good, I don't think you need to do any trimming yet. Up to you though.
You will be flowering outside too? Will you be putting the plant into the ground or keeping it in pots? It will need a larger pot soon.
I'll look into getting some 20l or bigger plastic grow bags this weekend and transplant the lady...- 2

Haven't updated in a while... Snipped the older fan leaves as it had brown spots and started curling... New growth going good for now... Not sure if it was a PH issue or nutes as I'm using tap water... Also forgot to take pics of those I snipped but progress nonetheless as some more sunny days seemed to arrive

What did the culled ones internodes look like ? I don’t see anything in the above. Take closer pics near the internodes and focus the the camera
I need to get me a proper camera... taking pics with a LG G6 but they do look like little long spearheads and a very different from what the male showed a day ago... I'll check again after work today to see if its developed any further...

Sweet! I'm using as much sun as possible nowadays... Soon you could keep the plant outside all day but for now I take her outside for some sun and wind... And inside at night under the grow lights.
Yea it's a bit of extra effort... But it does make a difference
That's basically what I've been doing all along...sun when there is some...grow box when there's none... Inside at night to keep them warm...
My wife joked I must knit them some jerseys cos my "new kids" gets more attention than her

You can clean some of the bottom nodes. Like take the 2 bottom nodes off, will make the top grow better

Weather in Cape Town been crappy the past week so they went into my homemade grow box under W10 and W15 LED lights...
Put them out this morning as we getting a couple of days of sun by the looks of things.

Not sure why the leaves curling down on the one node and feels a bit hard as well... Should I snip it? New growth also coming along quickly. 2nd shorter plant looking very healthy with no issues... Just wish it would come out of the closet and show its sex lol!
The last 5 pics is 2nd plant.- 2

Got rid of the conventional old w100 globe and replaced with w15 led globe... Buckets are light so they need some water... Will feed them some nutes as well as its been 9 days... I think.Nikkel plants are looking good bro, concerning the lights, inmo the cheapest best option to tie you over for the next month or so is good ol fluorescent tubes, you can pick up a WarmWhite and a CoolWhite, perhaps 30w each, T8's are quite nice. If you could install 4 (2x warmwhite 2x coolwhite) they should style until spring, assuming that the temps inside are warm enough.Good luck man, above mentioned light setup is also great for seedlings/clones and can be kept nice and close to the canopy.
Will look into the fluorescent lights as I do have small fittings for them to make it work. Thanks for the tip bro!

Nothing much to report... Going slow... Weather's freezing... I think I'll have to get a better light solution

I think it will be better to use bigger pots, esp if you're only going to transplant outdoors in Spring.
Also, isn't a 10W light way too little power light for those beauties?...
Getting new lights soon.. as for bigger pots? not at the moment plus I noticed alot of guys not filling their 20l pots to the top anyway so I'll stick to the 10l buckets for now

Ahh ok, was that their first feeding with nutes?
I don't know nitrosol.
You trying to put the plants outside for light?

1st feed yes, although I don't think it was needed as they looked healthy.
My 1st grow hence training wheels title, so learning curve for me... they out in the sun when there is some and under lights on rainy days...unconventional, I know but just fascinated with growing the plant.
Will go full outdoor in mid to late spring season...this is just a muck about to learn and see what goes
