  1. Howsit all, Been a while

Want to conclude this thread with the following image.

    5d9b3260-54b6-4a2d-8727-267c47d8dfa9.thumb.jpg.7ca5df8f993e9059d366605da7f0b28d.jpg

Oh god just spotted my slops and socks! haha

Anyways cut the tree down and hung for a week and now it's going to sit in this jar for a week or two, if I don't steal from it being too impatient.

I took a branch off and dried it about 2 weeks ago, but hung it out too long and was too dry, Never the less I smoked to test it on Friday and it wasn't bad, Nice in your head with clarity effect. Didn't make me sleepy but had hectic dry mouth.

Other plant I ripped out, it was revegging and it had balls and pollen.

Oh while on pollen, this batch had a bit, I rinsed off after a shake, it seems better, but first branch I dried had a lot of pollen coming off it still. Hoping the rain and such washes the pollen outside away. Surely it doesn't linger long?

Want to say everyone that commented and helped me in this thread a big thank you, Been great help in learning. And still got a lot to learn.

Here's the next batch. Will create thread.

Put it in a Simba Cardboard box with a wire line in it to hang on. Close the box, keep in a cool room and pop open twice a day to refresh the air

Put it in cupboard in kitchen for now, where we keep our coffee and sugar. Was either that or the spice cupboard which I wasn't fond of. But certainly going to do what you suggested. Thanks.

Do you have a microscope? By the looks of that leaf you may have mites. Added to that, I don't know have crafty you are @Hochymama is usually good at these things 😂, but build some sort of support system for the girl. Fill that big pot the plant is in with soil and place dowels and take it from there 🤔

    thanks, No not's have a microscope :(

That big pot is for next grow. it's in there as a place marker in the garden lol. Learning as I go here. Next time will be more prepared and sure I'll get better results.

  5. Howsit going folks..

My plants not been doing so well in this up and down weather and now wind..

Want to ask how long am I away from harvesting on the big one, Not even going to show you the small one.. But I want to try save it somehow, as I feel the strain is good. It's got a stronger smell then the big one.

Also if you look on the leaves there's spots, is that anything to be concerned about?

  6. Well the damn dogs certainly love seagro and been digging up my pots all day, finally now made an effort to try keep it away from them...

Where the small one is on the log, was going to me my location where I planted my next grow, in the ground. But fear the dogs will keep digging... Not sure what solution I can come up with yet.

  7. Cool, well this is my testers, I removed the one now and potted in it's own pot, to give more root space. Bought Seagro and added those ferts. They hermies so not too stressed if this goes south. Got 2 sprouts from my seeds I planted so hoping I'll have better luck with those. Also want to buy seeds end of the month from a local site so if 2nd attempt fails I'm sure I'll have better knowledge on my 3rd try 🙂

Sorry to see the hermie, maybe try some autoflowers in a 10 or 15L pot. For auto's you just need one pot, transplanting might shock the plant and slow down growth.

Any of our local Sativas would also survive the African sun. Also have a look at Freedom Farms, they've got some great soil for cannabis.

Thanks, sorry if I'm blabbering too much on the forum.

Where can one buy DP or other recommended Sativas like you mention? I'd like to buy local.

Good chance the seeds will produce hermies as well...

Although bagseed is known to produce hermies, I would keep going with bagseed until you get purchase seeds or get some clones.

What do the 420SA growers think ?

yeah from what I'm reading about seeds and ideal flowering times no use buying seeds now for outdoor. So going to grind and experiment with what I have.

Unless you can suggest a strain that would survive the upcoming summer months outside?

  10. Well it was a pavement special right.

Will let this one ride out and see how it goes. Long way off to my next grow, don't have good seeds, and trying to sprout bankie seeds at the moment again but it's taken almost a week and nothing. Last time it happened faster. Hey I can always take seeds from hermie and keep, think it's an okay vibey strain.

I think you might be a bit too harsh on your efforts so far, especially with this being your first grow.

Can you tell us more about how you started up this grow etc ?

    Thanks!

Thanks, my wife grows veggies so she's had a load of planting soil, Can't remember now what it was. But nutrient rich.

Popped a few seeds in one of those checkers seed pods and sprouted it from windowsill in kitchen. Then moved to a small pot, Think this was in around May/June. Got seeds from some cannabis a friend gave me, which I really liked.

Then moved it to a bigger pot in July, after we moved to a new house, and now move it around in the garden to grab best of light when I can. I keep it on patio mostly to stay out of the wind and when it's raining a lot.

Really about it, not too exciting. Plant has a very sweet smell which is awesome.

Nice girl man ! At least she’s got some company in the pot.

What are you feeding them ?

zip, just water. I've been topping up with a bit of compost, stirring the top soils while watering now and again.

This is really up to preference, autoflower will flower without a 12/12 light schedule, typically grow faster but as far as I know you can't clone them, which means you'll need to buy new seeds each grow.

Normal is photo period which means they need 12/12 to flower, these come in feminized (99% chance of females). Then there is regular seeds which have a 50/50 chance of being male or female. You can take clones from feminized and regular seeds.

    Hope that helps.

With you saying that Normal has a 99% chance of females, was the odds of Autoflower?

    Awe @Catsilver, that's a fabulous tank!

In regards to easy strains, I'd go with Northern Lights, Peppermint Kush or Blue Dream. Mostly indica, great smoke. Super easy to grow and they're resistant to moulds and shit. If you read up on the strains, you'll get a feel for it. Sativas are great, but i think they're more finicky. Also, long flower times can blow :-2cents

My issue is that indica will make me even more lazy than I already am..

I get home and knackered from long day and have a very active 3 year old have to chase after all the time when home. If I don't take something that gives me a kick, by time she's asleep I'm passed out on couch.. repeat that every day and things on to-do list start to stack up fast..
