  2. Id love to help you out where i can. Interesting symptoms

@justin. I agree with you no doubt. Im myself thinking of cmh. I came across futurama selling a 630w grow light KIT for 8k. Any experience with futurama?

  3. Thanks Zairek,i didnt add those ammendments because the palm peat with soil had good drainage. Vermiculite holds moisture so you dont also want to hold to much moisture with a small plant. That was my logic when i thought about it. Yes unfortunately it is the LED,i only came across the forum after i took photos so next time ill take it in natural light. Thinking of getting a cmh light.

  4. I was told it is a Swazi Gold. Im not sure, its definitely Indica. Grow space is a 1x1m grow tent. The light is a 20 watt LED at a colour temperature of 6000-6500k. My apologies for using the word Spectrum in one my earlier posts to refer to the colour temperature.

  6. Yo, yo.

Haven't seen or researched  COBs with multiple spectra on board. AFAIK they're usually a white light, with the spectrum only altered by a coating of phosphor to get more red. Hence the blue spectra emitting more photons as they don't need to pass through the phosphor coating. COB just means chip on board, so a whole bunch of diodes on one real small board.

Doesn't mean there couldn't be quality COBs using this tech, my knowledge is still limited. My assumption though, would be that unless it's a reputable, known brand, it's suspicious. If the brand of COB isn't mentioned or if there are no tech sheets to find anywhere, highly suspicious.

I know Mars have come out with a fixture which uses COBs and a few diodes. Can't speak to the quality. Assumptions would be cheap shit. COBs were shifted into grow lights more out of DIY. If you look at the quantum boards, they're diodes spaced out on a larger board, which makes more sense. The only reason a COB would hit the 660nm spectrum so hard would be to target growers. Perhaps a bit cynical but yet again this seems like seedy marketing from shitty companies like Mars.

Reference the tech spec sheets and/or find forum posts discussing. Internationally one can purchase Citizen or Vero COBs for I think around $25 per. They're far from being the priciest point of a fixture. Often the heatsinks will run you more if passive, the drivers are expenny, etc. etc.

@narnia, guys i dont know what to do anymore regarding a light.. Im confused now..narnia. Were you specifically replying to my post regarding the different spectrums i posted?

  7. Thanks GLO..appreciate it..i was thinking of maybe wrapping the transparent cups with something to block the light. Reason i got transparent cups is to see how the roots develop and if the plant is root bound. Any advice regarding that?

  8. Time to transplant those out into 1l pots bud.

If they are going to be outside plants its also the best time to just let the elements at them. They need wind to become strong.

You should know the sex of your plants in a month or so, so you will have plenty of time to choose out females.

Looking healthy though but thats gonna change quickly with root restrictions.

How many of all those seedlings do you intend growing out? You've started nice and early but that means a very long 5-6 month veg. Ie. Each plant has the potential to be a huge monster plant.

    :-peace

Thanks! Busy sourcing pots/cups at a cheap price. Hate buying from nurseries and the likes if I can repurpose. I plan to repot this weekend if I get a chance.

I've got high output fans running directly at them 24/7 which stimulate the wind. I'm just jump starting them for now while summer approaches as nights have still be reaching 8C which no doubt will slow them down a touch. But they're definitely doing the better for the greenhouse.

I am concerned about the size they'll end up reaching. I intended on getting head start on the season to get a decent veg but overshot by a lot I've realised I'm hoping to plant 10-20 of them and mainline a few. I'd like to experiment while I've got bag seed plants and time. Gives me time to start a second grow later on in summer with some clones or something.  I reckon that'll give me a massive crop. I would however like to strive for quality over quantity as I really don't use much. Just interested to see what I can achieve with an attentive outdoor grow.

Could I really tell sex at 6-8 weeks?  I haven't been able to find a relative answer! If so that's great. I've been reading every forum and article to learn but mostly just allowing the plants to tell me what they need. They easy growers when you get a routine going.

Regarding telling the sex of the plant or when. With my strain it showed sex at the 7th internode. Ill just check my grow journal to make sure. Its an indica strain
