Never done co2 before but willing to give it a go.  Been growing indoors a few yrs now ek se. But helpful advice will be cool. What i mean is room must be sealed for obvious reasons.  Wont run co2 yet but if i do i want to make it easier for the future.

Might be, because he's posting on his phone's browser rather than using tapatalk.

 

Tapatalk also has it's pros and cons, example, I can't see like buttons when using tapalk, nor the say thanks button.....

 

But overall, it's still more convenient than the browser that glitches terribly...

I agree that COBs Fluence light is the way to go. I don't agree with that other dude about diodes being better. I call chicken poop, diodes won't beat cobs. However quantum boards will beat the cobs. So if you buy quantum boards or cobs you'll be better off. If you going with diode LED and you aren't planning on spending 15k it won't be worth it. Just ask Justin how my 700w Mars ii series performed. Like a wanker... Toss that wankstain in the closet and upgrading to Gavita DE HPS 6/750

And yes. LED not for me. Bought plenty. Got a 600w that gave airy heads. Now use for veg only.

What LED did you use, saying "LED not for me", without actually stating the brand does not really mean much. There are many top performing LED lights  on the market. You just need to head over to the international forums to see the grows they're doing with them. If you're talking about those garbage lights from MARS and a few other brands then sure. Burples are crap, state 1000 watts lucky if they push out 200.

 

I am running two of my five quantum boards at the moment, each pushing out a true 300 watts per board (multimeter confirmed), they can be pushed to around 350-400 watts but they get pretty toasty then. Five of these in my tent with a combined output of 1520 watts, however I will dimm them down to 1000 watts to keep them cooler.

 

900 watts in the image attached, I'm waiting for my quantum sensor to arrive to get the actual readings.

Yes i have seen some great grows on international  420.

I've heard about your lights. But gone the old trusted route.

Hopefully one day we can compare nugs always open to new things  

Even in a tent just running at 400 you'll get a better result than singe ended hps.

 

They run 10 to 25% more efficiently than single ended HPS.  

For this machine you make the space bro!! 

I use multiple gavita 750 lights sealed room 24000 btu cooling co2 enricher. I have the master controller as well and run my lights at 862w (115%) been using them for about a year and am just about to replace the bulbs and reflectors .

 

You don't get a better light and the 750w will kill  regular 1000w on yield . If you have the money and dont buy gavita you wasting your money.

 

 

As you can see on my signiture im about to build a gavita grow room  so your input will be great.

Also want to go sealed. Will need some pointers through the build. Will document it here.

Now thats what i like to hear. Im not new at growing so i need no convincing about HID. 

Waisted about 20k on Led and was never happy. My best bra gave me a 400w hps which i put in 1mx1m tent and booooom. Their it was . 

I was happy. 

Even more so now.  

Any light that puts out a 1000 watts in a 2x2x3 is going to need ample ventilation, ample cooling. A friend of mine runs two 1000's and it feels like a sauna if he doesnt run the aircon, due to the nature of those lights there is no cooling them directly (read: air cooled hoods).

 

Have you thought about going LED?

 

I have been through about 5 Led's including a cob.

And you know what? Most old growers always go back to HID lighting. Found CMH and HPS the way.

You might pay on elec bill but the quality more than makesup for it. 

My brother in law in the AC buisness. 

Already ordered a small split unit air con from him. 

 

I kept 1 LED and thats used for veg only.

 

If i could have a Led it would be Mars Hydro or the likes! In SA u kak en betaal 4 that.

I have been growing for a few years now. Was in 420 mag then a close buddy got bust so packed it up and moved operation elsewhere. Kept low key.

 

One thing i can say is i have tried many different lights over the yrs and HID lighting always wins for flowering . For me anyway .

 

Look forward to chatting and swapping ideas.

Will be building a new flower room starting about the 20th Oct.

 

Flower room 2m x 2m x3m H.

1x Gavita pro 1000w DE.

1x Gavita controller

1x dehumidifier

1x AC if needed. Will see how it goes with extractors and it in a cool basment.

Couple fans.

Hopefully 1x light mover. ( buddy designing 1)

 

Think thats it.

I've also tried all kinds of lighting for veg, but never compromise on flowering. HID has been tried and tested. Worth every cent of the power bill I get at the end of every month.

Have you guys tried Trophy seeds they in SA. 

Had delivery in 2 days before. All my seeds have arrived and popped. 

I wont mention names but 5 of us put R1500 each together about 2 yrs ago. And ordered a shit load of seeds. About 10 never popped. 

We sent e mail and they said sorry. They meant for souvenirs bad luck.

The cheapest is way to find a 2nd hand hair iron with a temp gauge and a builder's clamp. Then take all your larf and small buds and burn the crap out of them until you find the right settings

After that you ready to go to rosin town.

Nice setup, but you're going to need an AC with that type of wattage in such a smaller area, So I would definitively not skimp on that.

It is on the list but was hoping to get away without one but been summer i dont skeem so .
