Nice looking light. 630w for 10k is steep though?? Good luck on trying to convince those cocks at gt to give you an lep! Lol.

That is a great light and delivers great results!! Yes 10k is steep. I just got Gavita pro DE 1000w  for 9k. Now they up to R 9900.

But you wont be sorry with your CMH I  promise.

    Sweet.

  2. That's some Charlotte's angel CBD oil I did today purging . This strain gives a beautiful golden oil

So tasty looking!  Is the "Snapshot of the Month" competition active at all ? Should enter this pic

  3. Evening guys

It's official. The forum will be undergoing a major upgrade in the near future. The upgrade will either be next week or even this weekend. As soon as I've finalised testing I will let you guys know.

As many of you will agree this forum is getting on a bit in terms of how it functions and is now overdue for a good upgrade. As a result this is going to be quite a change from the current website, so to some of the regular users please be prepared for a bit of a shift, although a lot will still feel familiar too.

The upgrade will make drastic improvements on:

    • Overall look and feel
    • Ease of use
    • Mobile usability
    • General functionality
    • Social features

Everything will be easier, make more sense and work the way you want it to. Plus it will be 100% mobile friendly.

What will be lost in the upgrade:

    • Your like stats/count
    • Your "thanks" count

Please keep a close eye on this topic as the forum may have to go down for a day or 2 as the upgrade occurs.

I can promise the wait and the break will be worth it. This will be the biggest upgrade since the forum started in 2014.

    :-peace

Awe !! We standing by over!!

    Cant wait.

  6. A true land race without cross pollination will be hard to find after so many yrs of guerilla growing in the bush they all been crossed with European genetics now.

Guys brought highly bred seeds in for them to grow for something different.

    Just watch strain hunters.

Not saying you wont find. But frikken hard to find.

    Good luck.

Anyone who claims to be selling a landrace swazi is cooked... I think he said he was selling feminized swazi as well? What a clown

  7. Did the Swazi come with a description?

    Like height it grows.

    Yield indoors and outdoors.

    Gr per plant or 2m.

    Lenght of flower.

    Etc.

If not i would not buy it. Just shows how much research they have done on it!

Guys take fat chances out their in real world.

The lemon haze and swazi I bought almost !2 years ago and only just planted was from Picton, I bought 10 of each... not everything came up, but I'm still happy with the ones that did....

But I said goodbye to Facebook anyway....

  8. So the lesson today is only buy from reputable seed banks.

When u take a chance you more than likely waist a whole grow and get shitty weed. Waist of time, nutes and electricity.

I had the same thing recently with a wanker by the name of Gareth Picton and all he's dodgy dealings on Facebook. So many skelms out there, we as a community shouldn't stand in fear anymore to highlight bullshit. That asshole posted my Private details to Crime groups saying I sell weed related items merely to cover his own ass for selling Kak and me highlighting it on FB.

With the new laws in place, these okes have nowhere to hind and will be slowly shifted to the bottom of the barrel where they belong

  9. Oh no !!! Lol!!

    Back to browser.

I just found my why here.

    Anyway i vote for them.

Trophy seeds.  They are quick, reliable and so far all my seeds popped in 2 to 3 days.  Generally a 2 day delivery if you on it early in the day. R100 postage.

They are listed bud. You can only see or vote in the poll when using the site through a browser

  10. I got a Kush and cookies from Trophy seeds in SA. THC 2 CBD ratio 1.1.

Dont think any more in stock.

I got 2. Maybe they have again.

    Very efficient servive.

I will be growing the CBD strain under the 1000w gavita.

    Cant wait.

Been away from home and i see she was a little far from the light and streched a bit. But all good. Will transplant her deeper and the she will develop much bigger root system.

Opps. Just gave a little secret away.

  12. So. This is her halfway through week 5 of flower

    Those leaves look super frosty.

How long to go on the grow bro?

Is that the 315w or 630w?

    Beautiful stuff

  13. Looking sweet.

    I love CMH.

    ALWAYS deliver results.

    Hey guys

So this here is my latest grow. Green smoke room's candy cream. She is half way into flower as of today.

This is a temperature and humidity controlled box with 315w el cheapo hydro crunch CMH 3100k(the spectral chart looked better than the philips equivilant).

Soil is Freedom Farms classic. Found it a bit weak IMO so i've been adding bionitro and biophos from jamiesgardenshop.co.za. I don't see much in the way of problems except that the temperature is reading 30-36 on some days. The probe is one of those with the plastic shell so i have a feeling its just the light warming the shell too much. There is a second "solid" probe tucked just under the canopy that hits max 32 on the hottest of days but mostly reads 24-27.

What do you guys think so far....

  14. If you do buy that you will eventually buy another one. At the end of the day you end up spending more to get the right stuff. I got one of those and it was "600w" used in a 1x1 tent and was not happy with density of bud.  Tastes ok.

Then a friend gave me an old 400w HPS bulb and ballast. I bought hood and extractor. Never looked back again. CMH just as good and a bit cheaper and uses less electricity.  HID the way to go. Unless you can afford quantum LEDS or the likes.

So i would not buy it. But if you do yiu can always use for veg at later stage.

    Good luck bro

  15. Top of the morning mr.GBro I see what ya did there, I just made the connection with your 420mag journal...haha

I'm ahead of the game as I been following here to before I saw your journal that side....

    Nice one brother.....

    Thanks Bro..

    Much appreciated.

Sometimes its better just to be low key  and not not make like you know it all.

After all we dont know how long others have been growing and what they know.

But thats why we here to help and learn from each other.

  16. Son in training bro. Things have changed since we were kids. Lol.

Wife can do the job fine too.

Can check out Grow Bro on 420 mag.

But was off for a yr and a bit till a few weeks back.

Justin told me about this 420sa.

Ive got 150mm extractor to vent out and will get one to blow in. Its it cool basement garage.

But will appreciate tour input to do it right 1st time.  Getting air con too.

So do u set it up that if it gets to hot then extractors kick in? Gavitas have auto dim too if temps get to high.

Want to do this right. That's why i started this topic.

    Shot for the help bro

Hope you got a resealable amount of grow experience before jumping into a sealed room , best of luck bud

Never done co2 before but willing to give it a go.  Been growing indoors a few yrs now ek se. But helpful advice will be cool. What i mean is room must be sealed for obvious reasons.  Wont run co2 yet but if i do i want to make it easier for the future.

If your plants are co2 starved it won’t matter what lights you have, if your room won’t be getting fresh air from outside via a vent or fan you best invest in a co2 bottle and regulator. You can even invest in one that has atmospheric controls (about 6-9k) or you just cycle them between the fans.  That is how I will be doing it, but I’m pulling fresh air constantly from outside and exhausting it else where, ideally I’m trying to keep my ppm if co2 around 1300-1500.

Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

The best would be is to time your co2 to release for within the first 2 hours of the lights coming on, they don't absorb the co2 in the dark cycle. They will then use the c02 for the next few hours of the light period. Obviously you're not going to want to be pulling out the air while the co2 is releasing.  Due to the fact that your grow space is relatively small you can calculate the the cubic feet of the area, determine the valve release rate and then determine how long you'd need to run the c02 to get to the desired level of co2. However if you have/invest in the co2 controller you could wire it up so that when the ppm drops to the low end it switches off the fans, turn on the c02 again and refills the room (best solution, but extremely expensive). So the cheaper option is to fill room, work on a best guess average of say 3 hours for the plants to use, turn off extract fan, fill room and that's it. In flower you'd essentially do it 4 times in veg 6 times.

    Edit:

    1. What CFM rating is your fan? Are you going to connect a carbon filter?

    2. You ideally want your fans running 24/7, if you're trying to get fresh air in and keep the smell away (I run mine like that)

    3. Autodimming is nice, but better to maintain room temps than let the light do it for you.

So u don't run ac to keep room cooler when adding co2. I usually run extractors 24/7. But with co2 you dont want to waist.

Cfm not sure. Im away now not used in a yr. Auto dimming very nice when you go away from home for 3 weeks at a time. Just an extra fail safe.

But not to worry. Will workit out.

    The budget is OK!!

I don't run an AC because I'm running LED, the maximum my heat sink's get are about 40.c, I run my lights at night flushing in cool air from outside, so my room stays a comfortable 24-27.c.  Yes, you don't want to waste the c02 so you'll just need to work out the calculations and timing. You go away for three weeks? I'm assuming its hydro with a massive res.
