I’ve tried both carts and flower, and I still find a bong for smoking gives a fuller, more intense experience — though pens are solid for being out and about. The disposables hit clean, but sometimes they’re just not strong enough for me. I’d rotate between both depending on what I’m doing. Also, make sure you're getting from someone you trust since there’s a lot of dodgy stuff out there.
