Hey All,

So I dropped my beans on the 8th May into some damp tissue inside a container using plain ol tap water

Untitled.thumb.jpg.bb46cdbe3c3f4f0a7389026beda74902.jpg

I gave them 4 days inside the damp tissue ,the roots grew uniformly and were around 2cm when I transplanted them last night.

This is a picture of them this morning in plain coco peat, recovered and starting to enjoy the small 18w LED tube above.

The plan now is to wait for them to dry out and then only water from the bottom.I've had success with this in the past.My intention here it to force the roots to grow by limiting water.Keeping a young seedling consistently wet is the worse thing you can do,but obviously there is a fine balance 🙂

Hi all, better late than never hehe, been a bit crazy with work atm. So I tried out some foliar microbes and one of the plants didn't take too kindly to it. Seems like a burn to me. The 2nd pic is the leader in size and the 3rd just coming along. b5baa9b0b0ed3de993be5106b2482523.jpg108ef227fd948fca2e5525c4635b0213.jpgf65e178f3ebdd43d1490d05ffe89802f.jpg

Tried to get some close up shots of the leader. You know the end product is going to be high quality if you see those tiny hairs developing at this stage

Also added a pic of my microbes and sick bay treatment items should I need them. I used the biodyne already as a spray on all the ladies already. 672895f07e801ab5f08812654aa18a92.jpg548f6ead0441fdca4950fd97939f45dc.jpge649db0cad94fac75c9a9187d1767dac.jpg
Also I fed the ladies last night their first weak solution of nutrifeed.

Just a pic of Totemics Bubba kush mom I have going in a dwc. She lives inside at night by the window and some days she goes out for a tan lol. She gets nutrifeed and microbe spray on the roots and sprayed with neem and Aqsf to handle bugs and mold since I'm close to the sea and am plague by mold issues consistently. She has about 9 tops, in a 20l bucket. I'm not sure what I'm doing with her yet though.

Day 25.
Transplanted into 15l pots with a 50/50 coco perlite mix because they were root bound and gave them ec0.6 hortimix nutes.

Moved them into my 120cm tent and changed to a 150hps for veg. 835ac8630a8be4d10d4d2dd8fd7b6b33.jpg5ef4b5c66edfb2b6352a5f239e919032.jpg7af37438818343e355d637d672421c8f.jpg

The last one isn't looking too good, might pull her if she doesn't pull through.

So I decided to remove the last plant because she wasn't doing too well. Of the remaining 2 plants one is doing better then the other but the pots are extremely wet at the moment, so I'm going to hold off watering and then hit them with just Ph 5.5 water to see if I can't resolve the nute issues on the struggling one. I will top them both in the coming days. a19725c8a87144a55731b05a2fa6f652.jpg620fc4dce8dec9d7f0145cb416f7c373.jpg

Feel the pot. Be the pot my friend. Don't water again until that pot is as light as a feather. Then hit them with a lekker nutrient feed. They will strive. Avoid any form of stress to the plants until they are fully recovered. Sterkte✌️

I think I made a mistake of soaking my peat and then immediately transplanting the seedlings, and then I continued to water with my nute solution. I did change my peat brand so I'm wondering whether that may be the case because this peat is way darker than my regular one and seems to hold alot more moisture as well. Do they look over watered? I'm using a 50 50 perlite peat combo. I also think my addition of perlite is contributing to the issue as I never used perlite before and never had any overwatering issues.

Howzit man. Ja your plants are showing the classic signs of overwatering. Droopy leaves and sometimes they will also appear swollen from the excess moisture uptake. Perlite doesn't retain water as much as what vermiculite will do. More of an aeration benefit to your medium. Sounds like you have soil mix there with your peat? Dono. I wouldn't stress too much. Just let the medium dry and monitor if the leaves start puckering up. If not then you have a more serious issue on your hands. Good luck and keep us update✌️

Here she is, she hasn't pushed out new growth in 2 days. I still have one plant that is doing relatively well though! 9ea21d109203300529c9105caf4cbc58.jpg

I have also switched my light from 150 hps to a 150 cw led floodlight. I have already noticed the stretching after only 1 day and wished that I just started with this light from the start.

So these plants are stressing me out!Luckily I didnt threw them out, just left them on my windowsill.

I did a little runoff test and it came out very high , around 600 ppm.

I think that is the problem, those plants were locked out because my coco was not flushed properly 😞

I flushed them now and then watered with nutes again.Im going to do the remaining plant tomorrow that is in the 15l pot,as I need around 50l to flush that pot out.Hopefully this will sort out my lockout issues and im keen to see if these stunted plants recover.

Update, survivor is going great now that the medium has been rinsed well, and I also tied her down. Ec is set at 0.7 and Ph 5.5. A bit miffed that I messed this grow up to be honest, but she is pulling along. 4e981ae3d2e30115e026dec98902ccd9.jpgcd4077938cc6bdd7afda63b4cc8d5aaf.jpg

This plant is impressive. Growth is taking off now. I did open her up yesterday with the wire, she will require daily training now.

I don't think I'm going to flip just yet, I probably need another 2 weeks because I lost around 2 weeks due to my unwashed coco messing them up lol

Apologies for dark pics, had to put my light off otherwise electro lines. 4b2d57b7faece774d3680b058192db02.jpga446800b55253c2ed6bb0f58fbfffb9b.jpg0575d518e1d91194d062a845c56357e1.jpg74b21a8f84455ff684b90fac5eca7a3d.jpg
