Smelly Joe, September 15 in Growoff Diaries
Looking good buddy.
I can't wait... Not in my blood.
Repotted them to 3L pots but before potted up I added mycoroot. The soil was mixed with Rock Phosphate and Mycoroot, watered and left to mingle. From now on they will be outside permanently with some extra light to help keep them in veg state. Next update will be when I determined the sex of the plants and when I made my choice as to which one will be the competition lady.
Looking really really good!! What you mean growing slow.. Excellent condition!!
OK so I need to lay down a time line for posting and for some reason I always pick Sunday evenings.....
Here is my 6 plants enjoying the outdoor sun. All is still looking good and I can kinda say I think I have 3 males....juat looking at the grow rate between the 6.
It's Sunday and time for update.
They are growing really well and fast. I have marked the faster growers and slowest growers and I'm putting my money on 2 males maybe 3.
They got a nice tea brew on Thursday and they just exploded with growth. So it's surely gonna be a weekly cocktail for them. They Lao got a bar h if Seagro yesterday.
Pests is always an issue but I have pulled in the help of Ludwig to help with that. I sprayed all the plants, top to bottom and front to back. And as luck would have the time I sprayed it was cloudy. Now the sun is out and leafs a bit wet. Hopefully the shade cloth will help to keep burning to a minimum or hopefully none.
Have a blessed Sunday and stay lit
Wow bud. Those babies look awesome... I'm struggling not to pop my beans.. I'm dead set on mid November but with all going on I'll somme drop them today..
Thanx man. Yeah they growing pretty well
I was also planning on dropping them later but I walked into the kitchen and when I came back the seeds were in the water..... LoL

Your plants looks a bit more stretched than mine, can it the supplemental low lighting causing this or is it just genetics?
The extra light is only on for an extra 2 hours so I don't think it's because of that. The past few days has been a bit cloudy and with the next few days still being cold and cloudy I think they'll get a bit more stretch.
It also worried me a bit in the beginning but I'm just letting them grow as is. My other Monster Gorilla is also vegging but doesn't have that much stretch. Maybe @Totemic can give some advice on this???
How many hours of direct sun vs shade are they in?
Well the time line is as follows :
I Googled what the sunrise and sunset will be for 15 November so I added extra light just to keep them from flowering.
Lights come on at 05:30 and switches off at 07:00. By 07:20 the 1st sun hits the plant tips and it increases as the day goes on until 15:30. From then the sun moves over some trees and the plants get intermittent sun until about 16:45. Then it's shaded until 19:00 when the lights come on until 21:00.
The ones that are "stretched" is the plants that received a powerful tea and caused them to go a bit mal. I have other plants that's the same age which did not get the tea and they are still smaller and compact.
The tea was made by a friend who also grows but I think it was to strong. But I don't mind at all. I know they are in good soil and no signs of any pests or diseases.
For what it's worth, even the bonsai en bonsai cuttings grew a shit load after giving them the tea aswell. I phoned my friend last night and asked about his ingredients but I knew the answer before I asked it.. He is one of those people that doesn't stick to a recipe. Hell change it as time goes on but ratios.......he doesn't keep record.
He is busy with another brew so I'll get some from him again and see how the ladies do that that time. I'll try to get the recipe from him on Monday while it's still fresh in his head
Geez I just gotten some pics before the weather turned again.
Here is my plants and I placed them them from smallest to tallest instead of 1 - 6.
They receive more than enough direct sunlight throughout the day. Here they are all individually snapped with a standard clipper for size reference. I wanted to get the measuring tape but I can't find it. Think I left it at work. I noticed that a pre sex is also coming soon and a few more days should do the trick..
Its seems to be only that one node on all of them that are a bit stretched. Could it possibly coincide with the tea? They are compacting on the top growth.
Either way, I think they are busy setting themselves up to be big and strong. I mean summer is still a month away.
Everything I can think of comes back the tea I gave. I'll give it a bit less throughout the season cause even though they are growing fast they do need to be slower. After sexing and repotting she can can go wild again... Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
They are looking really good bro!! Healthy!!
Looking very good my man.
Pulled out 2 males and confirmed 3 females. Just waiting on the other one to sex but made my choice with whom I'm going with for the season..... Gonna pot her today and let her settle in..Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
Really healthy looking plants. Nice work.
Alright then, let's get to posting some pics and updates about what's going on in my little therapy garden...
1. This is the one I've chosen for the competition. She is the middle plant of all the females and starting with a medium plant just seems better. I pulled her down to get her bushyness going.
2. This one I repotted this morning from a 3L to an 11L to grow a bit more. Not entirely sure what's gonna happen to her. Thought about letting her just grow upwards and see what happens or espalier her.... 🤔
3. This one is an trial run to see what a lady will do in an area where there is little less sun but much more darker periods with sunset. So far she is doing well and no difference between her and the ones in the therapy garden. I pushed in a stake and angled it in a south direction. Basically all my plant are pulled down towards the south for better sun exposure
4. I don't have a Pic of the 4th lady at this moment. She was repotted from a 3L to a 15L and moved into the flowering tent. Why not flower out and see what's to be expected later on the season???
So basically I had 2 males out of the 6 beans which is a really good ratio. I was expecting 2 females maybe 3. And with the extra females I just had to find space for them ...... All the plants gets a weekly dose of Seagro. If and when I see that I get a deficiency then I'll up the feed or treat the problem as it comes along. Bit so far...........its all good....
My heart, thoughts and feelings go out to the competitors that has fallen. Sorry guys. There is one guy out there who's reason got me really fucking pissed. Not him just his reason. May she get fucking herpies and suffer. And fuck that new dude. Cocksucker can fuck off.... Arghhh sorry but stuff like that just gets me alter ego all fired up.
And with lights on I thought I'd just post a pic of the 4th lady.
Something ate the cambium layer of the tree. Almost like it wants to air layer the plant. Any idea what to look out for???
Snails and slugs. They only operate at night, and are usually missing by dawn.
Seriously??? Are they capable of that??? Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
Snails love seedlings.. They bad news..
