PACKAGE RECIEVED!! I recieved it yesterday on the 1st of the month, what a great prize! The sweetest sweet seeds shirt, 3 awesome stickers, a pack of rolling papers (low-key always been collecting nice packs as they are so cheap so SUPER STOKED on that) and then the 5 different strains, although I was told they're gona be 5 each, 2 of the packs had 6 in them so instead of 25 seeds, there is 27!!!! this is way more than just a prize, I can't wait to give you all the pics once I pop all those perky little pips! Why not, will be good for a seedbank to stock a lot of the local breeders stock - easy way for growers to find and explore local breeders stuff. If someone wants to do an all local grow, Cannabist can be the one stop seedbank then.

Hiya @Cannabist, and other members reading this thread, not directed at @Cannabistalone... Perspective. From the consumers point of view now. We paid for a premium product, we expect one. Most of us have honour so we don't sit around plotting to rob seed banks, ja those arse holes do exist, I accept that, but then you have to accept that there are sum dodgy dealers/seedbanks/resellers? I think the point is this, imagine if they did replace the OPs seeds, then he would be here giving a shout out to these guys and others like myself would go check them out...A happy customer will send you other prospects. Also forums like this exist, so that WE can all help each other learn...why make the mistake yourself, rather learn from those more wiser than you, and nothing can beat first hand experience, good and bad... What ever happened to customer care? Ps, if I'm not mistaken the OP had a similar experience but was replaced by fast buds themselves, I stand corrected on this. That's what I call customer ❤ Personally I will only ever buy seeds that come in breeder packs, directly from the breeder, sealed with a tracking number from the breeder that you can go verify for yourself online, just like those from @Sacred Seeds, Merlin u rock man! See thats me giving a shout out to these okes, customer care was tops! But it was @Bakstein420 who told me about sacred seeds and so on and so on and it was @Stinger96 who told me about the forum in the first place, and so on and so on..

Big thank you to @Cannabist for the prize, dont think I've ever won anything in my life. Unfortunately can't post a pic as my Note9 has turned to a ball of shit since the last update, but I got same as @DamDave. I had great success with Barneys LSD (also purchased from @Cannabist) so cant wait to see how their Violator Kush grows out. @Cannabist very good idea to keep the budget in check. Those bags will do the job for air pruning and drainage. If I am not mistaken I think @Onion is doing a grow with those fabric bags at the moment so he might be able to give a good indication of its efficacy.

We set up a proxy using cloudflare workers and modified the headers to cache the requests on cloudflare so only the initial request had the latency delay, all other "api" requests would be cached and re-fetched when our edge cache ttl expired. This subdirectory cannabist.co.za/seedfinder/* (e.g. https://www.cannabist.co.za/seedfinder/?br=G13_Haze&str=Barneys_Farm) is another cloudflare worker serving up a custom app we wrote to represent the seedfinder info/data in a cleaner way - we just saved the page as pdf and that's the pdf you are referring to. As our site is WordPress/Woocommerce, it was faster to mock up the thing in angular and just embed it on the product pages via iframe. If that makes sense We have to write the php side of it as a custom wordpress plugin and then we don't have to use a iframe to inject part of own site into our own site lol - Started the plugin and then we last interest as mentioned, felt like we were just duplicating the seedfinder site. However feels like it might be growing some leaves here after some of the feedback. Regarding the landraces, like someone mentioned a few posts ago - imagine if guys in SA could run 1000s and select the best, rinse and repeat and market their progress.. However, what the local guys like @Totemic have achieved with the limitations of our law is outstanding to say the least. We are so stoked with the feedback, really didnt even think people would discuss and just click the poll so cheers to 420sa community for the epic epic thread.

We actually built a integration with seedfinder.eu whereby we pull through the info from seedfinder into our listings. Attached a pdf of the result. For the technical guys, its basically another website we build which was iframed into our store. It impacks performance so we have started to replicate the seedfinder database on our side so we don't have to query their api every time. Eventually we will build it into our store so we dont iframe it. So what would be awesome is of the local breeder kept their seedfinder up to date and we will always have the latest and and forums. I think there is already an established local craft cannabis industry here in South Africa, for sometime too. Since Cannabist is a local seedbank I think you should invest heavily in local genetics, breeders. We have guys like @Totemic and AmaDeadlly who have already established reputations who probably would like an extra sales funnel. Offering these craft local seeds would only be a win win for everyone. Loco is lekker. If the price is right - Price can vary for rarity, demand or the reputation of the seed always. Only if bud tested - You should know what you are growing. Only if breeder has a grow log - goes without saying or grow journals like here. No, don't think SA is there yet - We already there. Breeder has a good reputation - reputation is everything, quality product, good service. I have to disagree, they most likely spend more on development of their product with operations here and overseas. They sell overseas breeders sealed packs, so they are international strains. For a bit of history and current affairs, I ended up going on Nigerian News Central about an hour ago trying to speak/waffle about Cannabis. WTF,,,,,, While doing some homework I looked at the Nigerian 99 i grew from Afropips in 2005, wish these seeds were still available here. Afroman, Maljim, Malawi Jim had hybrids of Malawi ,Durban, Congo, Swazi.... you name it. I remember him coming in a top place at HighTimes Cannabis Cup, in 2004 I think. Just a simple man born in the 60's in Durban who ended up making a name for himself in the Uk, USA, Canada. I support local and would love to see another breeder/bank offering solid local african genetics, that compete locally and internationally.

Hence we balance out the costs and keep a flat rate. I had been eyeing @Totemic's Tortoni F1 for some time now and since @Cannabist has rejoined us I decided to make an order with them to get these seeds I desired Not only did I get my seeds within two days but I also got 5 x Gelato seeds by Cannabist and also 3 x Wedding Cake seeds by @1000Hills Nursery! Funnily I was actually looking at the Wedding Cake strain before ordering so I'm pretty stoked about that. I consider vendors as trusted once they are affiliated with 420sa so with the debacle last year I was pretty upset that a vendor was bringing bad vibes to the forum, but I am happy to say Cannabist has come back strong and anyone that is doubtful should give them the same kind of second chance you see right here.

@Cannabist thanks for letting us know. I’ve seen a similar breeder called MegaBuds. Similar in the sense of fast big yielding autoflowers. Have a look at this one cup challenge yield. May be a great alternative for customers such as myself who enjoys fast, big yielding autos.

@1000Hills Nursery after giving me a good understanding of what’s these this little babies like, I think they will be smiling from here on out , some early purpol! these seeds were actually given to me with and order I received from cannabist. Unfortunate. Could have been a good service. Anyway 5 regular beans. They all popped beautifully and 2 made it through the cold. But now they have a home atleast. Fingers crossed for females

Hey Peeps. So I have finally got to the stage where I am almost ready to start my first grow. Firstly I want to send a shout-out to @PsyCLownfor all the advise and help up to this point in getting to where I am. I've got the following equipment: Lights- @Light It Up 2x 240w Qb Tent- 2.4x1.2m Extraction Fan- Ez100 Soil- Freedom Farm's(Green Bag) Fabric Pots Nutrients--Not sure yet Strains- Peyote Wifi, amnesia I received my seeds yesterday from @Cannabist was very impressed with service and delivery. I'm going to start off with germination and I'm going to be trying the seeds straight into the soil. Ive used the paper towel method for a seeds I did for outdoors however didn't have 100% success. Any advice going forward is always greatly appreciated. Let's see where this takes us! Cheers
