  1. Another update overdue.
Going like a Boeing so far, all rocking and rolling.
Couldn't get the strawberry sugar cookies to pop, so tried another 2 with the same result. Surely did something wrong but not sure quite what after taking extra care with the 2nd 2. still, 8 out of 12 isnt a bad rate.

Strawberry deluxe are the leaders at the moment.
One of the Green Gelatos got bug nibbled early on but has survived albeit slightly smaller than its peers.
Otherwise some small holes here and there from pest nibbles but not much gone wrong. Loving the greenhouse for keeping my plants dry and allowing me to control the watering schedule! Once again tonnes of rain outdoors in my neck of the woods.

Here also are some clones I've got on the go, cloning them and making more as I go... all suffering through a bit of reveg so looking kaka. Clones taken from inside to outside in Oct/Nov seem to try flower
Have a Triple cheese, a Sweet Inzanity, a Tutti Fuity, last years Dark ride, and what is purported to be a Cookie Fam Girl Scout Cookies. Keen.

  2. Couple Rooftop 420 branches around town.
Another place called SMJ distributors that seem to have a cool spot. Durban North side.
Seen a sign in the Ballito Village for a members club that seems social.
Havent been to any other than the Bohemian spot on Florida so cant tell you if they are good or not

  3. Status update time.
Strawberry Deluxe still in a hurry, both popped up the next day, no sign of harm from mishandling the 2nd. Yay!

They spent another morning on the kitchen counter and have now found their way into Greenhouse V2 to continue their journey.

The Strawberry Sugar cookies still hadn't popped in the towel after day 3, so went into baby pots and hope for the best. If they dont end up popping up I will elaborate on what I think I did wrong with them. But for now fingers crossed they will pop up shortly.

The Regs are mostly up. 5 out of 6 up and running so far and should go outside tomorrow perhaps.

  4. Strawberry deluxe moved from towel into pots.
They are in a hurry! Should have planted this morning but didnt have time, they were quite long already by this evening. May have pulled the little cap off of one seed trying to free the taproot from the towel. Dumbass. fingers crossed.
Not much movement in the Strawberry sugar cookies 2 just yet, will check tomorrow again.

  5. Missed the Auto part makes a lot of sense now!

    Ja nee.
Agree, could be many many things, from Soil through to seeds and everything in between.
I was personally super unimpressed with the Autos I have grown out, some of them stayed tiny tiny. I knocked one pot over while they were babies, the bloody thing sommer stunted, stopped growing, and flowered at around 10cms high with less than 12 leaves. They can be very finicky.

As Crex said, chalk this one up to experience and hope for better next round
A good place to start would probably be some proper purpose made cannabis soil.
Also a PH/EC pen if you dont have one (cant believe I'm writing this because I still dont have one yet -pricy!)
This will help a lot seeing as you already have some very cool toys already

  6. 'Olla Bromigos!

Getting started a little later this year than last, rain around this time in my neck of the woods played havoc with seedlings last year.

For this Season I am firmly in the Local is Lekker corner, and will be running a bunch of @Totemicand some @Bay Seeds sourced a while ago from the Legends at @Cannabist. Thank you all for the great deal and freebies! Very grateful and super keen 🙃

So here we go! Up first 2 each of:

    Totemic - Green Gelato. Reg

    Totemic -Strawberry Deluxe. Fem

Totemic - Strawberry Sugar Cookies. Fem

Bay Seeds - AK Royal x Lemon Jedi X Choc Gelato. Reg

Totemic - Gelato x Cherry CBD. Reg

All seeds soaking since 4PMish, dechlorinated water with a spritz of Biodyne and BioBizz Root juice.

Some king sized seeds, some so big they got stuck in the container and needed prying out.

    1191647720_20211109_1651111.thumb.jpg.e1039bbc449a28c1fea54eed6ea3ba91.jpg

Very keen to get started! Some will go straight into pots from here, others via ziploc and paper towel route. Don't have enough side plates to separate 5 diff strains in paper towels etc. Will give the Fems the special treatment and let the Regs go au natural.

  7. Maybe some more recent pics might help?
Bit of variation in heights and sizes is not unusual at all though.
Each seed is an individual, with it's own character, same as people. Even brothers/sisters can be shorter/taller.
    Probably nothing to worry about.
If it bugs you lots, maybe try some clones next time. Would give more uniform growth.

Not sure how good Builders soil is for growing ganga in though

  8. At this stage I believe the high is less intense which is what my wife wants.

Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk

I think it works the other way around? Starts out as an intense high while clear/milky and gets less intense and more mellow as it Amber's more and the CBD count rises and THC count drops off some?
May have it wrong, but that's how I understand it
They look so so good though yoh

  9. Mhhh shipping is very very harsh... to harsh.. nice lamps.. but heavy. Right now, nope... they want 315$ shipping for the 700w version. I said thank you very much but I get me some QBs ^^
ordered 4 292 QBs with IM301B, 660 and 730nm, 3000k, 5000k mix, dimmer ((rj11 interface or wifi) and knob), heat sink.. 61$ one light, 4 are 244$ plus 112$ shipping (Fedex Express), i go with that ^^
Isn't free shipping  I get those for the veg tent, dimmer helps to keep PAR down, use the others in the flower for the extra kick if needed. Just using the Quantum Flux Meter on regular interval makes me change my lighting setup.

  12. i must just note that the hole where you got the soil from... is kinda barren and devoid of plant life.
i am not so sure that the soil is actually good.
if you must use garden soil, you should source it from the best growing plants or shrubs in your garden, as that soil is proving itself...
the soil you have may be contaminated with heavy metals that could be causing your troubles
Haha shot yeah. The barrenness is due to clearing all the stuff that used to live there. Needed to see underneath the plants to see how much clearing we could do.
Anything and everything planted on that bank loves life to the max ordinarily...

  13. Correct sir. Watered yesterday so is still pretty moist because it has been very cold here hasn't dried nearly as quickly as normal.
Soil is not from compost as such... just dug out the bank I'm gonna be levelling off one day, small hole visible in pic

    Ok... so... repotted this morning.
Gave the 22l pot 1.5l water when done, mixed in teaspoon Epsom salts and 1g Iron Chelate I'm case of iron or sulphur shortages.

Will lay off the watering and the fish mix for the rest of week and let the pot dry out fully again... if I haven't seen improvement by then I think the 60l flush may be the answer. Will try get a friend with a ph meter over to measure the runoff perhaps.

Dudes, you are legends! Appreciate you all very much
