  1. How things change. Secret Garden Nursery back at the reservation due to dodge landlord and high iron content water that was no good for a nursery. Fucked up a bit on the clones I think. Straight from indoors to outdoor here they having a hard time. Pic 1 & 2. Lost a puff mints to a bug. So being back on the reservation I've decided on a late planting mission. Pic 3 & 4 some choc gelato x slurrican x whatever it got contaminated with. Pic 5 is bobby's widow x gorrila cookies f2 autoflower. Adding some cbd1/thc1 tomorrow. Let's see what happens.
  2. Hey bud. Sad news. My journey from online nursery to bricks and mortar retail venue has just hit a major obstacle. After months of setting up I find out water at this particular farm is super high in iron. Might have to close shop, fuck. Trying to arrange finances myself to ship in water and for water storage tanks. Send details. Can afford R100 if that helps. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  3. It's thanks to a local seed/clone group. Been so busy growing the nursery I've not had time to plant from seed this season. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk

  5. Must admit I'm impressed. Less than 72 hours @Bay Seeds autoflower in FF Seed Starter. Then some cuttings from a local group getting ready for outdoor. Much appreciated. 3rd pic Tart Pop cutting at a month or so and looking good. Last pic I'm watching. Free range grow from my worm compost pile in the tyre garden. These plants are looking strong.
  6. Pic #1&2 Tart pops coming along nicely. Went into flower a few weeks after clone was planted. Think I'm ok on reveg. Pic 3&4 My worm compost that I was using to prep outdoor holes decided to do it's own thing. These plants are sturdy man. Think they might just give summer conditions out here the finger.
  7. Death of an institution. The original Pig & Whistle, Barthurst . WW2 RAF pilots pub in the closest village to their base. Best babootie in SA in my opinion. I was almost arrested on the closing night of the Pig & Whistle in Rondebosch for trying to nick their sign off the building front. Sorry. Just think I need to mention I hope the energy survives with the new owners. Sorry not herb related but I did light up on hearing about the sale of the establishment. @Chris Jay?? Hope it stays true.
  8. Join us for for our monthly 420 lifestyle market on the West Coast at @West Coast Vaper Secret Garden Nursery. Play park for the kiddies. Braai pits. Braai packs available in-store. Stroll through the Secret Garden Nursery. Browse through the farmstall. Grab a bite from the kitchen.
  9. Got gifted a Tart Pops (inhouse genetics). Officially the first plant of the season in the ground. Last 4 pics are seeds popping out of my worm compost from last season.
  10. It's a joint effort between the farmstall above and our nursery. Yes. One and the same. Have some @Bay Seeds auto fems to give away on the day. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  11. It's all happening. Nice little line up for the weekend. What? Three years in the making. Hope to make it a cosy kuir plek
  12. So I've been busy working 24/7 on The Secret Garden Nursery that I have not been able to spend time prepping for this season. I did however start prepping holes with my own worm compost and old soil. And my tyre garden has decided to start the season without me.
  13. I apologize to admin in advance. But Fcuk, this has been a looong veg period. Hoping on having the chill garden ready but you might have to bring your own beach brollie. Slowly but surely this nursery will be catering for the growers stuck out here. Or just a place to relax. So sorry admin. I'm not really trying to plug my business but am inviting everyone to flowering day.[emoji4] Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  14. Starting to take shape man! Photos don't do it justice. Working on the tea/chill garden. Farm Stall/Venue landlord and property owners open to 420 clientele and functions. Whoop. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  15. Landlord not opposed to 420 garden. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  16. 20 odd days till West Coast Vaper's Secret Garden officially opens. West Coast Wanderer farm stall and restaurant already open for business. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  17. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cvpp7xAsq_J/?igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng== Most people know how difficult it is to get a start in the cannabis industry. FCUK I've tried for 3 years with limited budget and success. Like all my grows, when something goes wrong, I always go back to basics first. Started a retail nursery attached to a farm stall/coffee shop/restaurant. I'm local and most people know I'm a passionate grower of herbs especially the Mother Herb. And to steal someone else's saying I have a growing 'Pensioners Therapy' clientele growing out here in the bush. So I'll grow this gig one seed at a time and supply the local bush folk with, well, shit we don't get out here. So watch this space. Until I can get branded packaged seeds, in the pipe line, I am passing forward seeds gifted to me by some very special breeders that have always been supportive and helpful. Yes. 420 friendly. Depending on wind direction. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  18. Keen if there is gonna be an outdoors. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  19. Wet trim for me. Purely because of high humidity in my area during harvest time. Wet trim while plant is still in the pot and growing. Its a process. Start removing fan leaves, start trimming the bigger sugar leaves. Trim 3 or 4 plants then chop. Hang for about 5 days. Cut off buds and In brown paper bags or boxes all shook up once a day for about 7-10 days. Into curing jar. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  20. Sad news. It's time's like this we need to consider a co-op style platform. Not sure how it would be structured but I'm sure there's enough brain's on the platform. The way the industry is going forward personally I think group effort is better than going it alone. Yeah we don't all have the funds or time etc as a lone individual. Quick poll. What does each member that reads this thread pay for seeds on average. Yeah @Totemic and @Bay Seeds are generous spreaders of local genetics free of charge (personal thanks from my side). Anyway. As much as the freebies and testers have come my way, I would be prepared to pay for such seeds going forward (bought through the forum) to help with running costs. And a small subscription providing there's enough interest. Just my stoner thought as I'm sitting here. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  21. Last 200g processed. Final weights following soon. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  22. Halfway through trim jail. Happy with dried and into cure jar weights. Full update coming soon. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk
  23. I'm already in kak for taking up half the freezer space. Luckily I'll be starting the Hash making tomorrow or Saturday. Due to remote living we need the freezer space for important stuff like food. WTF? This is the first time I'm using terp loc grove bags and they will be re - used but mostly I'm using my collection of mason jars. I'm going to try using one of those black tote bins for now and hopefully that will work till I get to town in a couple of weeks. Yep. Can't buy fucking jam jars out here and 300 bucks petrol to the nearest place and back that do stock it. In the meantime I have put a 3g for 1 jar offer on the Bush Telegraph bartering group. Fighting humidity 101 here but getting there. Did a little test run with a couple of hands full of trim with my latest purchase. My wife got sent to town on a mission by her boss.
