I do have some more seeds, I want to get some auto's soon as well.

I've since got 2x bags of FF and seagrow.

It's just that this one plant was the weirdest from the lot. The other 2 were males, so I only have 1 female and she's looking quite great. (I'm gonna do a grow report on her soon)

Thanks for the offer of clones that would've been so much appreciated but I'm in JHB though.

    Peace and love

I would suggest only grow autos if you have no choice and can't grow photos due to light pollution issues, off season grow etc. Photos provide the dank more consistently, autos are mediocre for the most part. We are now still in the growing season so rock some photos. If you can afford to buy a pack now's the time... You will get your money back 100 fold in BUD

  2. My opinion and not facts...

Ripe trichiomes break of its stalk too easily for my liking.

Bicarb darkens pistils and changes bag appeal.

Terpines are too fragile for me to mess with... another reason I don't trim my weed.

So a bud wash is a definitely NO for me personally... cleanliness in all grow practices is sufficient for my standards. And trust me guys I love checking out my buds through a loupe. I mean who doesn't...

The irony of this topic is I had a guy send me pics today of his plant hanging and drip drying after a h2O2/water wash because he got PM and needed to salvage what he could. So you can't blame people for assuming that this practice is inherent from PM.

Cats & dogs inside and growing indoors can be a nasty mix and I think in that situation requires a wash.

    LOL you know it haha...

    @Mambawana how's about a guide on carbon filters!? 😁

It is really easy to make with a few supplies. Small Baskets from a plastic shop with stockings over it if holes are too big. Only thing I found was DC fans worked best with the restrictions caused by the carbon. But that wouldnt be an issue if you have proper ventilation fans. I will post pics of the filters I'm building.

Bru I diy almost everything. One day I will post real detailed pics of my grow set-up showcasing everything that can be diy'd.

@PsyCLown yes I agree there is quality out there if you know the right supplier. Problem is every kid that got his driver's and moms car is selling now days.

In kzn prices are through the roof. R180 will get you quality indoor, but for that price I might as well do coke.

Mambawana is all about sharing my kzn brother, genetics, buds, gear... anything anyone in need needs... Just don't ever tell his wife she thinks he shares too much. Had to reassure her that I will NEVER share her...

I think being in different locations affects the drying process, I imagine the RH in Durban to be quite high compared to Gauteng.

So drying bud in Durban would naturally take longer than in Gauteng. After a few days of drying bud in a tent, the RH starts to drop below where you want it to be. So around this point is when I put mine into a jar with boveda packs.

Yeah true story... like now my 2 plants are hang drying in a room at 80% humidity.  I don't have a choice but no way am i compromising the other gals for these 2 early birds. I just got the fan a little more directly at them so that the plant can die fully and I'll be safe from kak.

Usually I dial in my dry room with both a dehumidifier and ac. 50% humidity for 1st 2 days and then 65% for the rest. All at 20C.

Don't tell anyone but I'm using my daughters room as a dry room for now cos she's gone to the grandparents for a holiday:rastabanana

Don't worry soon you will be in a position where you don't have to buy weed again. 2020 spoil yourself with a tent and accessories so that you can grow enough to pull you through... before you know it you will also be growing multiple flavours 1 time.

I think it has alot to do with people rushing the drying and curing.

Some will say what I'm about to say is a waste of time but I hang dry for 2 weeks. Note I start plucking heads of it to smoke after like 5 days. After 2 weeks I put them in ziplocks and that's were they stay till it's all finished. I don't trim my weed. When I pull a head out it must look like a litchi with its peel on😂... It's like my party trick...

Geez, the Wedding Cake looks superb.

The CBD Critical Mass I grew was also extremely terpy and for a 1:1 ratio (6 - 8% apparently) it packed quite a punch too.

I wonder if its a CBD thing or if we just got lucky.

Wait for the Wedding Cake #2, the pheno I chose to breed. Everything about her beats pheno #1. I'm also interested to see how #4 turned out, it's the pheno that had that crazy mutation I posted before. The main bud looks like a  mini rugby ball. Just feels it's lacking the strong smell the others have so I moved her clones outdoors.

I'm waiting to try the other phenos of the CBD to gauge what's happening cos I bought that strain for my wife but it's kicking my butt so imagine what's it going to do to her.

Maybe it's a cbd thing, I have gorilla cbd 2:1 by dinafem ready to be moved into the flower room so perhaps after that I will know a little more about these cbds

  9. CBD #1

    Amnesia Haze x CBD Landrace

The most terpiest plant I've grown to date. I cannot even explain how tasty this strain is... sour grapes green apple thing going on... It's supposed to be a 1:1 but kicks like a horse... cannot wait for her to finish so I can stop stealing colas from her. She is one of 3 different phenos that I found.  CBD #3 is purple even her calyxs and bracts. Will be breeding CBD #1 to try and preserve as much of her as I can. She was a pleasure to grow, never skipped a beat. I don't usually keep more then 1 pheno of a strain but #3 clones have to be kept just because of her looks well Atleast till the 1st smoke test.

Don't you need specialized equipment to pack the carbon properly otherwise its not as effective?

    Nope...

Back in my cupboard growing days, worked like a charm and I grew alot of cheese back then

The plant you plan on putting on your balcony keep under 24 hrs veg and move it out a week before you kick into flower inside.

You could also offer your neighbour a plant for their balcony. I gave my neighbour on the other side of my dry room a plant like 2 months ago. It's a super stinky purple diesel daze. She's in full flower and should camouflage the smells from my side.

I'm already getting the next plant I'm gonna give that neighbour ready.

The things we have to do to keep our grows cracking on...

Well, aircon are great but they also need an exhaust which blows the hot-air out the window (portable aircon).

I exhaust the hot air from my portable aircon into my flower room to warm it up during lights out...

    @CreX

The mini splits are cheaper on electricity and the portables are more multipurpose if ever you consider an aircon.

Not sure if you in a house or apartment or flats but one way to redirect the smells is into the ceiling and through the roof. It releases the smells high in the air and lessens the chance of it hitting people straight in the face. It requires some tweaking so your whole house doesn't start to stink but it works.

Or you could grow 1 camo plant on your balcony so if they sniff sniff and look around and see that plant they associate the smells with it.

    This is my current camo...

@Mambawana , yeah trying out companion planting. Still need to fill up the spaces with more companions.

I did not want to remove too much foliage at a time, will remove some more this weekend.

Outdoor you don't have to be as aggressive as indoor cos the sun penetrates.

It's just a good idea to clean a good portion of the bottoms to make things less conducive for pests and pathogens.

@Mambawana lol no worries... That looking great, currently my lattes addition is a Purple Haze and she is showing white pistils 2 weeks earlier then the above girls. Just remember i grow a outdoor (bag)Sativa that was not mend for indoor growing.  I am sure your plant there is genetically bred with certain qualities right?

At what day does your plants kick into flower? I've always experienced it between day 8 - 10. And I grow between 10 - 20 strains at a time. I recommend you start bloom nutes from day 1 flower and not 2 - 3 weeks like suggested by sites like growweedeasy etc. The extra phosphorus is like a signal to the plants to go into flower.

Btw I also like the energetic high and I have been harvesting colas of my plants for the last 2 weeks. So maybe cut yourself a few colas and see what they look like after they dry, maybe the pic we seeing is deceiving us and your flowers look different in person.
