I have an Acdc 6500k led flood light.

Rated at 150w, and man... It's fucken great, my veg plants absolutely love it and I think I might get more in the future.

It pushes out double the luminous intensity as my Nova LED lights.

Not entirely sure it's full spectrum though, so it might not do as great as you hope in bloom due to that.

@CreX Yeah mine are also 6500k, Flash brand locally made and just for longevity i have a USB fan blowing on them.

    They work and they cheap!

Recently I bought their T5 Led tubes to do my cloning, works like a charm!

  3. Hope everyone has recovered form NYE partying, I can finally relax myself did harvest yesterday, took me 5 hrs!!! But an overall good yield. Once again my Sativa girl grew out of control.  Today I sterilized the whole place, and de-dusted the lights (wish they made it easier to clean the fans) The Sativa (generation 7) and Purple Haze (generation 2) clones are in their reservoir, and the flowering girls (generation 6) & ( generation 1 ) under the flowering lights, gave them some LST, well more of an high stress training this time. boom two days of work but all worth it.

I've not tried flowering only under the cheap flood lights but I am impressed by how they grow during veg and the first two weeks of flowering.

A pressure sprayer is a must have for all growers haha... You can get a 1l bottle or the 2l... I went with the 2l... It really does make Foliar a pleasure... Especially if you have a few plants.

For PM I use a special mix of milk and humic acids and a wetting agent.

Makes pm vanish, and helps deter little bugs too... Just leaves the grow a Lil stinky... And unsightly... But the plants love the milk... fucken love the milk.

I bought peroxide once... But as I don't run a sterile DWC setup I have little use for it... I went up to 10% solution trying to get rid of PM but failed sadly...

Eventually stopped using it for growing and used it with bicarb to get rid of cat piss stains and smells

@CreX lol mine is 5l but was cheap R129 at Checkers.  Yeah heard about the milk spray... just not sure if i wanna use that indoor.

It's good that it's working for you. Unfortunately I've had little success with it against any pests or pm.

@Mambawana What strength undiluted HP did you use? HP turns to plain water relative quick, as that its water with an extra Oxygen molecule.

  6. @Mambawana It kills powdery mildew any other unwanted pathogens and it also kills soft body bugs. In other words the place is sterilized, and no left over residue. Also if you have bad powdery mildew you can give your buds a quick wash in HP after harvest.

Well done on the new addition to your garden.

Enjoy the spraying while it is still fun...

Have to admit it will soon become one of those tedious tasks that has to be done...:-hairpull

I would recommend you make a shield to cover your net pots when spraying to avoid getting any into your res and do yourself one favour, keep the little packet of o-rings and seals that comes in the box safe.

Lastly don't burn your plants, even with experience I've done it because I've been complacent and not done test sprays.

@Mambawana Thank man... Been spraying b4 but with an hand pump, great for a forearm pump! Just spraying hydrogen peroxide so dont mind if it goes into the res. You gonna love this, I use 50% HP to 2l water lol dont worry so far ive not seen any burn not even on fresh growth.

  8. I never knew spraying your plants can be this much fun! This is i must have item!

I was not being a dick I promise. Telling you what I see. You supposed to take it that there's something wrong somewhere. Maybe it's just the genetics or something but I suggest you look into it for the sake of all the hard work you put in.

This is a random pic of my current grow at around day 18-20.

    IMG_20191128_174653.jpg

@Mambawana lol no worries... That looking great, currently my lattes addition is a Purple Haze and she is showing white pistils 2 weeks earlier then the above girls. Just remember i grow a outdoor (bag)Sativa that was not mend for indoor growing.  I am sure your plant there is genetically bred with certain qualities right?

  10. @PsyCLown I do a perpetual grow, so i take my cuttings, clone them for two weeks and vegetate for 8 weeks. So this also dictates my flowering time. The biggest factor for me is but rot. I try to grow weed cheaply so i have no environmental control, last harvest i had a cola the size of my manly fist..... Beautiful cola, cracked her open full of rot!

If i had the space and ALL the right equipment sure man i love to experiment, but in my case i have limits.... But what you dont know you dont miss 😉

Ill try to make some pics b4 harvest next week, but at this stage they are not photogenic.. cant see the trees trough the forest lol

    Merry Christmas.

Forgot to add: Excluding the the flowering time i add two weeks transitional stage, so in theory the are under flower light 14 weeks.

I agree with PsyCLown... Those ladies still look like they have a full 2 months to go still.

And the eskom power nap... Looks rediculously bright for lights out.

How light proof is your grow area?

@CreX I flower them for about 11-12 weeks. Due to certain factors I dont push them to 14 weeks or longer. Some reasons, i want an energetic high, not enough space, powdery mildew is a constant battle. I dont grow for HUGE colas, so far after 5 harvests in one year ive been an satisfied stoned bunny.

That light is from my window, i have no backup lights.

    @Mambawana lol day 18.. thanks.

I got an digital timer set for 18hrs light on, its in my office so i keep an constant eye on them 😉

Below is two harvest back 11wks flowering time same plant.

I dono about the nothing happened part...

I had an outdoor hydro... It was the most amazing growing iv ever seen...

But it's pumps were connected to my Bloom room... And I turned off my Bloom room because there were no plants in it at the time...

I only realized after a week... But the plants were fucked... Growth halted to a standstill... No further bud development happened... Leaves started dying at a rapid rate... Eventually I just pulled them and dumped them... It was truly one of the saddest things iv ever had to go through...

Once or twice for a few hours during a grow won't be the end of the plants... But this loadshedding is not just once or twice... If you do not have a UPS on your oxygenation devices in DWC current, and are getting loadshed, then yeilds are being affected.

@CreX Sorry for that past loss man. I dont want to argue about the importance of Oxygen in water since no one here can measure the amount of it.  But there is the Kratky method that uses no air/water pump and they grow beautiful tomatoes, even some guys grow dagga this way. I have put my clones in still water no added air and ALL my clones grow roots. I think the plants can survive on way less than what we think is needed, maybe a bigger issue is with anaerobic bacteria!?

  13. Whohooo into week 9 flowering...  Planning on taking them down on the 30th  (am running out of weed, have only bought ONE bankie this year and wanna keep it that way.)

Good spray with neem oil and into flowering you go. They have been in veg for way to long, have had to remove 1.5m so far.  Interesting to see if it will make a difference with the extra roots.
