  1. WHAT'S GOOOOD, BOYS AND GIRLS OF 2022!!! fuck the big C word we shall not speak of, we all made it this far in the shit show, so let's make some lemonade, shall we!? Moving into the new year with a BANGER!!!!!!! things have been looking up, so over the last few months I been busy turning a backyard hobby / hustle into a registered business, getting our commercial licensing done as we speak I will leave the nitty gritty for the papers, but holy hell starting up a business has probably never been more of a headache!!!! Really trying to tame the bull wanting to get anything done that means help from the government. Took them 2 months to send a health and safety inspector to come spend 30min at our new site.... pathetic.... that's right.... our new site!!!! bigger and better!!! we will be installing isoboard rooms with full climate control shortly

  2. What do we have here, juat a few dicks flopping all over the place. Last two weeks for this batch hopefully, might have to go into a 3rd week depending on the trichomes, but that's what you get from sativas! DS got chopped, hanging for 4 days now. very small plant. Sour Lemon OG lower bud of the SL Banana Hammock, I like her summer colours more, if it wasn't for the trellis she'd be flopping on the floor. Deluxe Sugarcane - pre chop 5/6 days ago mind the dog hair - post chop, yesterday

  3. Not much to report on, everything running along smoothe! All 3 the DS plants got about half of the plant chopped back, made a few extra clones. I was told she's stretchy, she was alsmost touching the lights! One of the DS plants is in a 20L pot and is considerably smaller than the rest, the others all in 30L. Seems the FA is going to be the smallest plant, so she gets the middle spot. The tent is about ready will be moving over into flower tent in the next 2 weeks, will be using trellis net to make the canopy more even. Just finishing up in there.

  4. So the the dqxslurris are at the end, they getting chopped on Saturday morning. I'm super chuffed with the bulky pheno, she is strong! Abit of musky sour coming from her, the tall pheno has almost done the same thing in terms of aroma, very similar. The mother clone I took from her around 2 weeks in is doing well, she might go into the 100l pot outside. then the Roma tomato's have been removed as they had blossom and rot, under watering would be the cause I suspect, will try be on top of it more. So there is 2 Cherry tomato plants and 3 in background.

  5. Aweh @Scoobydoob Those girls look good and healthy man. The Vitaveg route will work if you want an offtheshelf solution. Big girls need a lot of food and it can get pricey. Topdressing for flower, you'll need P and K with a bit of N. The plants will use what they need from what you feed them. P-Good clean woodash will work(charcoal will work also, but not briquettes), does have a high ph, so don't go overboard. A light sprinkling will do, 2 handfulls/plant. K-Bananas, can blend them into a tea with water and molasses(skins and all-let stand 24hrs) or let them go overripe and dig them into the soil around the stems and water it in. A good organic fert- The herb Comfrey Comfrey grows easily and the leaves can be mulched into the soil as a topdress or made into a tea by blending with water and molasses. The nutrients in leaves can also be extracted by fermentation.

  6. Very nice brotherThe more cost effective way will be dry amendments. Kelp Meal, Insect frass, Bat Guano etc. EPIC5:2 works great. With these a little goes a long way

  10. so quite a bit has happened and changed around here, thinking you're one step ahead of things can sometimes mean something entirely different than what we hope had the SL OG prepped for a 15 to 16hr light cycle before putting her outside beginning November, put her in a spot where she gets the earliest morning sun till the latest afternoon sun, but days at that time was only 13 to 14hrs long. so she started to flower, showing me how one step ahead is not good enough when there are so many variables. I don't trust "the seasons" anymore. I will dedicate an area for outdoor grows and mount a LED for future, next years outdoor light cycles bound to be even more flipped. only way when talking light cycles. I made a few cuts of the SL OG, took the whole plant out and decided to keep the pot empty for a while till I can see others vegging outdoors, had another 60L pot ready for a host so I decided to test one of the Hawaiian Cake giveaway plants, took the stinkiest female and planted her, took about 2 weeks till she went into flower around 14 Nov. Waited till 10 Desember, can't wait any longer, planted a Deluxe Sugarcane cut in the 80L pot, saw she's going into flower a few days ago. The poor HC got smacked with the recent wind storms, lots of leaf damage, luckily she acted as a wind break for the DS. Not sure if this plant wants to continue flowering or making foxtails now HC - DS - she's doing great some of my chillies and peppers in the greenhouse 🌶 Habanero - big leaf Cherry bomb - perfectly round and turn crimson red like a little cartoon bomb Cayenne, at the back - must have Bell pepper Sweet pepper Jalapeno Then we have some outdoor grown chillies and peppers as I was running out of space inside the greenhouse, I cut back a few plants and planted them straight in the earth in an unoccupied little corner in the garden Bell peppers Cayenne

  11. Great work brother, congratulations man! Starting a small business from scratch is no joke, but with a little bit of perseverance you can kill it! Also request your pricing champ, my head office will definitely have a look/possibly make use of your stuff as they do wholesale. Unless you already sold out lol. Will message you.

  12. So on day 66 Tortoni clone got chopped. Gave it a bud wash using 3 buckets (wash, rinse, rinse) then a gentle pressure spray, gave them a spin dry (standing in the garden spinning my arms slowly getting funny looks from the landlady) and hung to dry for a few moments. Then into the drying cabinet. I'm sold on this bud wash story. Looks like I'll be getting a bit of smoke from this plant after all. Was not the best clone but looking forward to the weighing.

  13. what's good team, hope all is well decided I'll start logging the flower tent, although the run I am busy with right now was not really planned, just threw those plants in there cause I had them and was starting to veg plants of higher interest so the flower tent was "empty", had to fill her. right now, I got 3 x Super Lemon OG plants in there which I am most excited about, they're cuts from my previous run, they're spectacularly lemony and very strong sativa-like effects. I like her a lot, gona fill my jars with her. there is also 1 Banana Hammock, a cut I been keeping around for about 3 years now so I know her like the back of my hand. last is 1 small Deluxe Sugarcane plant, first time growing her, I used the plant as a mother to get cuts for my next run really, but thought it's a good idea to shove her in there aswell and make use of her after I made about 30 cuttings off her and there was very little left. tent Super Lemon OG - Emerald Triangle Seeds Banana Hammock - Ethos Genetics Deluxe Sugarcane - In House Genetics have a good weekend all

  14. Hey guys been a while my outdoor grow is going really really well and need some suggestions ive been using using my mix of seagrow and biogrow biotrissol for these girls , but its becoming quite a nightmare mixing so much nutrients for the 6ft monsters on the left. ive been looking around for some top dressing flowering nutrients (ideally organic). I found the green house biobloom but thats gonna cost an arm and a leg . So has anyone found anything around in SA or a recipe they have made up themselves ? (had to also show off the amazing grapefruit sourz im growing on the right by @Totemic )

  16. Go for it! These amendments won't burn your plants so no stress. I still swear by Epic 5:2. 1/4 teaspoon dilluted with 10L rainwater once a week. Stuff is magic

  17. ive been looking at the bat guano from the hydroponics store and some kelp meal for the topdress mix , the NPK on the bat guano is amazing (3-13-4) but would like to add some extra potassium with the kelp meal (1-0-4). you reckon a slightly dialed back dose of each bat guano and kelp meal ( like 75% recommended dose ) would do the trick ?

  20. Those are some nice trees you got there ! I recently picked up some taleborne organics Vita Veg for my herbs and I saw they have a Fruit and Flower range as well FertilizerCat0302_E.pdf (talborne.co.za) - I see its Ph'd at 7,7 which I don't know if it will cause issues or not

  21. Hey bud I guess there's a couple reasons, the insulation being at the top of that list, because my previous setup didn't allow me to achieve the desired enviromental conditions and it was quite a headache. I want a strong structure, because the highest point in that building is higer than 10m so we can always build another room ontop of the ones we are putting up now. and if you look at the back above the 3 doorways there's a thick white beam that forms the edge of a floor, will have a staircase going up soon, but our plan is to extend that floor once the rooms are in so we can build ontop of them and have the stairs in a whole different spot.

  22. @Naughty.Psychonaut This question is rather random, but If you don't mind me asking what made you decide on the isoboard instead of something like PVC boards or whatever it is actually called ? was it purely due to the thermal insulation that the isoboard offers ? edit: aaahhh nevermind I see they both basically have the same uses but the isoboard has better thermal insulation should've looked it up before I asked .................

  27. Harvester ant, also known as harvesting ant, is a common name for any of the species or genera of ants that collect seeds (called seed predation), or mushrooms as in the case of Euprenolepis procera, which are stored in the nest in communal chambers called granaries.[1] They are also referred to as Agricultural ants. Seed harvesting by some desert ants is an adaptation to the lack of typical ant resources such as prey or honeydew from hemipterans. Harvester ants increase seed dispersal and protection, and provide nutrients that increase seedling survival of the desert plants. In addition, ants provide soil aeration through the creation of galleries and chambers, mix deep and upper layers of soil, and incorporate organic refuse into the soil.[2] From what I can find so far on what I think is a Veromessor Pergandei common name Harvester Ant.

  31. I took mine and made some rosin, honestly the best tasting Auto strain I had grown so far, I was a bit disappointed by the Russian Fuel as the one I had going just tasted like weed (but then again I grew my plants in a mix of red clay dirt and coco coir). I bought a buddy of mine a pack of the Jessica Rabbit Autos and he was telling me the terps are off the charts compared to the other auto's he has going.

  32. That's good to know man. Please post a pic would like to see the bud structure prior to the chop. Yeah from the looks of it I might have a rather fast flowering Cheese pheno on this side. Will keep an eye on the tricomes as the bud matures

  33. Merry belated Fly Agaric Day, hope everyone had a blessed one well done brother! got some lekker bushes there, the pink skies photo is beautiful the wacky seasonal conditions and light cycles we been having is making outdoor growing a whole different experience. I see a lot of people pushing two small outdoor harvests this year as the plants they brought out begining of the outdoor season started flowering almost right away. I would put some money on a bet that next year will be the same story and the best way to combat this is outdoor lighting!
