  2. Howzit 420SA! I can log into my account again now. I removed the post from the subreddit as there was obvious a misunderstanding somewhere. Very cool site fellows, nice UX. We need more stuff like this.

  5. No "smoked moderators" here. If members repeatedly and knowingly break rules they'll get banned. Very simple In this case it's clear Wondergom was not banned. He was approached by a member in their personal capacity who is not a mod. Perhaps threatening to have him banned, I don't know. We have nothing to do with this supposed banning, neither did any banning actually happen. We see no reason at all to have the member banned

  7. I finished my soil mix and also added 2 new ingredients to my mix. Bloodmeal and Bonemeal My soil mux consists of the following : 50/50 Coco - Perlite 70/30 Coco - Perlite Potting Soil Compost Bonemeal Bloodmeal Rock Phosphate Mycoroot upon transplanting I made the drainage holes bigger and added some more for better drainage with a 20mm paddle bit. Then I washed them and hung them out to dry The Potting Soil was quite wet and clumpy so I whipped out some black plastic and layed it out and let it dry out a bit while I was busy mixing the soil I also started up the airpump to get the water Declorinenated for when I'm done. I finished the mix, topped it of with a nice mulch layer of compost and watered in all down. Now its just waiting to see who sexes female and then transplant... So thats it for now, have a great evening and chat again soon...

  9. You get those all over East London in the Bush and on the sides of the roads, if you look. Normally in highly nutritious areas or where there is other soil life, they eat the other bugs, and havent ever seen them eating plants, very safe in my opinion.

  10. Shot brother. Actually just read that they are beneficial for the garden. They assist in breaking down decomposing and organic matter. They shall continue to live

  17. We're about 1 month into the grow now so here's a proper update on each plant: Dinamed 1: Growth has been slow for the past few weeks, likely because I planted to early, but it seems she's really kicked into gear over the last week (but she's still tiny). For the past two waterings I have included some Bio-Grow at (1.25ml per 2l), and she seems to be appreciating it. As you can see I've also kicked off LST today but I don't really know what I'm doing so I'm taking it super slow. Coincidently I noticed the first tiny pistol earlier so she's starting to flower - right on schedule, though I hoped she'd be a bit bigger by now. Think I'll start adding Bio-Bloom in a week or so. Dinamed 2: This seedling was planted at the same time as the one above, but had an issue with the first two leaves growing deformed. They eventually fell off and since then a bunch of little leaves have tried to grow. It's really hard to see in this photo but all the leaves are tiny and deformed. My current theory is that this plant has some kind of detrimental mutation preventing proper leaf development. Sad to say it but I've given up on her and already have a replacement germinating. Cheese 1: This plant is coming along similarly well to the Dinamed 1, but is just a little smaller. I have her on the same feeding schedule which includes Bio-Grow (at 1.25ml per 2l) for the last two waterings. LST was also started today - taking it very slow. Unlike Dinamed 1, this one shows no signs of flowering yet. Cheese 2: The initial seed didn't germinate, so this replacement was planted about a week after the others. Seems to be coming along well. I suspect she'll start growing more vigorously like the others shortly. I haven't given any fertiliser yet but will start with a low concentration at next watering. In other news, I've purchased a Wedryer XL to hopefully make the drying process as pain (and smell) free as possible. Also bought some Bio-Bizz Top Max which I'll add to feeding regime for plants in flowering phase. Oh, and two more FF 10l fabric pots.. It's quite crazy how slow the soil in plastic pots dries out compared to fabric.

  18. Hi guys, Thanks all for the valuable input. I went with the amendments my buddy suggested and just thought I'd try it out. I did the repot in plain Orgasoilux yesterday, gave plain water at pH 6.3 after calibrating my pH pen and this evening she is looking much happier.

  21. Looks good bru With my mix, i added some additional amendments and also some bat guano pellets not listed. Once a week i will water it down with some Epic 5:2 at 1/4 teaspoon/10L rainwater. Check out my mix: I used Subcool's New Super Soil Mix recipe as reference and added a couple of additional amendments as per recommended ratios. Here follows my recipe and total volume is about 250L or 9 cubic ft: Base Mix: - 3 x 30l compost mix - 3 x 20l potting soil mix (peat moss based) - 1 x 20l sand (mix of mostly sand and fine clay from garden) - 5 x 1kg Coco Coir bricks - 1 x 30l bag Perlite Amendments: - 1kg Bone Meal - 3 x cups Kelp Meal - 3/4 cup Epsom salt - 1 x cup Dolomite lime - 1kg Soft Rock Phosphate - 5L Biochar - 1L Diatomaceous Earth - 1L Insect Frass (BSFL) - 1L Basalt Rock Dust - 1 cup Gypsum - 1 cup sprouting barley seeds for kicks Note: This is the first time that i made my own living organic soil. In the past it was the Biobizz line all the way. Works like a charm but poes (apologies moderators) expensive and the living organic way seems more sustainable and of course cost effective in the long run. Peace brother and will follow along on your growing journey

  23. that's quite an orgy they're having! they probably laying eggs in the soil, some bugs lay eggs directly on plants but usually then bugs who feed on the plants aswell, I would just keep a eye on them

  24. she's already looking much better remember all the new soil is jam packed with nutes, so keep the water pure till she's settled atleast or even till she starts asking for food. that's much easier to diagnose and rectify than overfeed. that's a moerse pot how big is it? you could possibly fill that whole space with just one plant in that size pot! I would still recommend checking the EC though, if your ph is in check and you get that EC in the 0.8 - 1.2 range your plant will literally explode with new growth.

  25. Welcome dude. This forum is fantastic for learning and there are plenty of people with tons of knowledge here. Checking your post on reddit and doesn't seem to sound like someone I know on this forum. Everyone here is very welcoming. Let us know what you are growing, indoor, outdoor, autos, fems, soil, coco, hydro etc etc etc. We love seeing new setups and ideas. Enjoy

  29. So I made the choice to harvest today. The Grape Gorilla and Double Sunsets came down.. Bit quick after the watering but so be it. Noticed some sugar leaves showing signs of But Rot and I am happy with the tricomes.. Did not want to learn one more lesson for now... This grow cinfirmed for me that 5L pots, FF soil mixed with Super Frass will from now on be my Indoor routine. This is for me.. The Tortoni need not stand back for anny of the "premium" bud I have had the pleasure of sampling so I am confident that these will be perfect for me.. The buds are dence and a perfect size, again, to my liking and not necessarily on standard for expert growers.. As I'm growing to support my own medication needs, bud appeal do not really bother me.. I did a two bucket wash with a tap rinse.. The Grape Gorilla was not washed as I did not want to screw with the possibility of loosing any seeds. The smell is almos Papaya like and not something I've come accross before.. I really like it and I am glad I have her seeded. Hopefully that trait carries through. Major frost on her sugar leaves and even on some fan leaves. All were pretty much a pleasure to trim. Double Sunset.. Grape Gorilla.. The Chockolate Gelato Fem I will leave for another week as mentioned.. I like this pheno with all her little fox tails..

  33. The Lemon OG Haze No1 died after the second training snips, no clue why, roots and all looked rather developed Rest is fine and most are on 8 mains so far, rest follows tomorrow. Thursday the first should go 16, then I start sorting and pot up to a 10L pot and install a screen for each. Not going 22L this time, check the outcome in pots I use for Autos usually. Cones from Plant 5 and 6 already rooted very strong... i always have some nice and fast rooters.. and the rest just needs those 2 weeks. No idea why.. and I seem not to be able to figure out what i do right and wrong. Perhaps genetic.. will check that on a second batch of clones I take from the clones. If 5 and 6 root again super fast, that could solve my puzzle.

  35. So we're about 8 days since I planted the seeds in the peat pellets. So far 3/4 have been plated in their pots, and one seed has yet come out of it's shell. As for the ones that have been potted, the one Dinamed seedling that sprouted first is looking great, and the other two not as great but hopefully nothing to worry about. The two Dinamed seedlings were potted 3 days ago, and the Cheese 2 days ago. Here are some photos of the 3 of them.

  36. Update: Both Dinamed Kush seedlings have been planted in their forever homes. Still waiting for the Cheese seeds to breach before I pot them. Humble beginnings

  43. Hey @Wondergom Welcome to 420sa, its a top South African growing community. I am surprised you were banned so quickly and does not sound right. I have had two other profiles banned since joining this community, but think it had more to do with smoked moderators at that time. The community here is very welcoming, and has always been a helpful resource to get answers, share information and have a banter. Look forward to seeing more of you here. Will sub to your reddit when I get back from town. Cheers.
