  1. This is the End ^^ 7 September Update Time to judge ^^ time to write my opinion. I had 2 of the same Phenos and with just 3 beans I do not judge a strain. If somebody sets a pistol to my head and tells me to judge or die.. I wouldn't keep the Tortoni in my mother tent, not the Pheno I had. Would say is very heavy on the Sunset Sherbet side.. and also with my own Gelato selection, I preferred the Thin Mint Cookie side. Buds grow vigorocity isn't what I am used to.. or what I select when choosing a plant. Bud grow behavior was at best average. Picture to compare what I mean... the Pineapple didn't made it in my Mother tent either... not tasty enough, bud size was great. Harvest: 61.2g dressed, 8.7g dressing material on Sisa THC Content: 14.8% AW = average Water (moisture content, 63%) Dressing Pics What i collected on the glove while dressing (both plants) What I took for testing Final pictures Sisa's roots Training Pictures Close up on the trained section One branch was 3 cm lower as the rest, rest was more or less even. Happy with my training result. (Actually got the idea from @Stinger96 to do the pic like that ^^) Effect Pictures (for the fun of it) Tarryn said first Bye Bye to Tarryn ^^ Now you know from what woman I selected that name ^^ And Sisa's final pictures

  4. Tonight I gained the courage to transfer my babies into their final pots. I wouldn't suggest LST before your final pot as this definitely complicated the whole situation and made it a lot more time consuming . I'm not sure if others have a different opinion on this Popped in to the local grow shop for some more soil and decided to grab a carbon filter while there. Many people told me that smell would only become a problem when flowering starts but that is definitely not the case here. If I leave my place for a day I come back to a flat smelling like a group of hobbits ripped major bongs throughout the whole place . It was on special and that definitely aided the decision making. Plants looked quite sad when first put in to their new home, but literally 2 hours and they were looking much better. 1 of the 3 are doing something a little strange, leaves are looking somewhat "Folded". Is it possibly just a bit of over-watering? I don't believe it could be heat as temps are consistent between 23-27 and it's only the 1 out of 6 plants. Or am I just being paranoid?? Training and topping is paying off, I'm getting the results i expected. Thought I'd give them a day or 2 before going hard on that again.

  5. Hello all. After a week of lurking underground I've finally germinated as a new forum member. I recently decided to grow a plant or two, not that I even smoke much anymore, but just thought it would be fun to grow now that it's legal. I told myself that I was going to keep things very simple and avoid overthinking things (straight up soil, water, seagro and sunlight vibes) but alas I've been doing a fair amount of research over the past few days, and now I'm excited to learn more and hopefully raise these plants to be as healthy and happy as possible. I'll be growing outdoors on my balcony, and I've got 2 bunches of auto-flowering seeds - Humboldt UK Cheese and Dinamed Kush. The latter is a (almost) pure CBD strain which I decided to grow so I can use it as mix since my THC tolerance is super low these days. Current assets and tools at my disposal: freedom farms classic soil 2 x 9l plastic pots 2 x 10l freedom farms fabric pots bio-bizz grow bio-bizz bloom seagro kelpak diatomaceous earth red clover seeds (companion crop) wurmbosch vermigro (don't think I need this but got 2 bags for free) peat plugs soil ph and moisture meter Will likely have a lot of questions over the next while. Looking forward to being a part of this community!

  6. Day 63 in flower ! #1- This one will be my chosen one , she was topped. Plain Coco/peatmoss/perlite with Elemental Blend and 15% wormcasting/compost. Plain rainwater and Fire Juice at 3ml/L (2ml is recommended) , no nuteburn on her and nice tight colas. #2- Different pheno , smaller buds and rocket shaped. She was Fimmed. Elemental Blend as above mixed 50/50 with FF Premium(Greenbag). She got some nuteburn as you can see. #3-Also different pheno , looks like foxtailing . She was left to do her Xmas tree look. No nuteburn on her. I like her also. Yield should be more than other 2 . Pics #1 , #2 and #3 Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk

  7. So not going to lie, the plants I took down really did not come out very nice. The bud was lacking frost, yield was really low and popcorn for days and the most bizarre part is the pistils went a dark colour and did not compliment the bud and made it looks even worse. Sigh Here are some pics, not the best pics but not the best bud either. I feel the root aphids may be partly to blame here. Slurrijug Black Cherry Pie Bananium Slurricane Will likely be taking down more plants this weekend though, hoping these plants turn out better - they look good at least. Will check trichomes towards the end of the week. Might give some another week if needed.

  8. With the previous grow we rand out off pollen too early. This russian fuel was pollinated already by this point but I know we could have got alot more seeds out of her because she kept making new pistils all the way to the end. Im betting these autos in the tent will do the same. This time Im happy having multiple SVF1 males going at different ages. They are all brothers and sisters that come from the same mother plant (strawberry cola auto from exotic). It doesnt matter in what order they cross each other, the outcome is still be SVf2's and new f1's from the cinderella jack, lemon larry og, strawberry cheesecake mothers..

  12. Hi guys, I traded some feminized seeds and a frisian duck clone with a friend and got a bunch of really cool new seeds. He will probably make clones to sell on. Started them all on Sunday 2 x northern lights royal queen seeds autos 3 x chocolate gelatos fems from totemic photoperiod 1 x pineapple express from fastbuds auto 1 x banana blaze fem from dutch passion photo 1 X critical orange punch fem from dutch passion photo 1 x bloody skunk from sweet seeds auto 1 x triple cheese fem from barney's farm photo I will keep the photos for outdoors and probably pollinate them all with Strawberry Vostok auto by hand. The 3 duck autos germinated , 1 strawberry cheesecake auto germinated, the cinderella jack auto didnt make it. Probably going to keep the tent going a few more month's pollinating all these autoflowers with SV.

  13. 3 lookers and a runt. The only reason for continuing with the runt because 4 are needed to fill the space. I don't have much hope for her. All 4 plants have been topped and tied down. Timing is something that needs attention, today seems like a good day for calculating when to flip again for the end of life finale. Two studs to select from for the Gauteng pollen chucker fest 2021. I'm feeling the one on the right, he stinks and is nice and compact. Feel free to have your say on these dudes. All 5 plants outside are making pollen sacks, they either hermed from the stress of moving out side, or they were incorrectly sexed from day one. Probability of user error is high. I've dumped the Ram oscillating fans completely. Upped the FAE to what I think is just short of 200mΒ³/hr(filtering the inlet). The FAE rate ripples the leaves non stop. Starting to think the Oscillating fans are not necessary, and maybe that's just more hocus pocus to sell more stuff to home growers. Time will tell. I hope I'm right, because I'm loving the minimal, less clutter look inside the tent. The duct up top pushes air in and directly onto the QB, the bugger runs cool, cool, cool. Not sure if it's frowned upon, but have been using the favorable conditions in tent to dry a few pieces of biltong for our December adventure. Works like a bomb! Would totally recommend.

  18. Everyday at lights on: Okay so I gave final final watering today and that should be it until harvest. It has been a bit warmer the last few days and will quite likely stay that way this week and with anticipated harvest day being Friday, we are 3 days away so that should be a good sweet spot between giving the plant some moisture to swell up with in the remaining time and also limiting the moisture carried into the drying stage. #1 and #3 got less as I expect those plants to be harvested before #2 which may go a few days longer. #1 - 0.75L #2 - 1.5L #3 - 0.75L Light has been running at +-50-60%% since end of week 9 of flower. Viva la electricity units, viva! #1 is looking like the one that will be put forward as the chosen one.

  19. San Pedro I believe. Peyote is a small cactus, looks like this: The active ingredient is referred to as Mescaline though. If it piques your interest, do some more research. Go down that rabbit hole!

  26. Thanks for the welcome GGG! And also, thanks for the advice. So I jumped the gun a bit and have seeds in the peat plugs already I only realised afterwards that it's probably best to wait another couple weeks. I'm in Cape Town so the nights hopefully won't be too cold, but to be safe I think I'll bring them inside at night for the first while. Yup, I'm planning to plant in the final pot - most likely the 10l fabric pots from FF. At first I thought I'd go for bigger pots but ended up choosing 10l because I don't want the plants getting too big. That should be unlikely either way though since they're autos. My balcony is north facing and probably gets a good 8 hours or so of direct light. It will be more in a few weeks.

  30. so, the winelands area can get hot as balls, we've been contemplating a pool for a while now. sadly, the only space we have is where my mother of a San Pedro was standing... so we had to move her.... I think you all know where this is going from here, guess the topic gives it away a bit too tips will be saved for further propagating. my lovely lady lending a helping hand there with the messy bits, I got outa bed and immediately got busy slicing up some medicine, she came waddling after probably 20min later, still in her very sexy satin nighty and coffee in her hand. didn't even hesitate to sit down and get her hands dirty with the messy bits! what a team player, right? once we got going I didn't wana take pics every few minutes or everything would be dirty and sticky as f.ck, so here is the last photo for the day we did 4 doses on the day, left them to dry, here they are. all that is left now is to powder them, cook it and then the ceremony I guess.... ALSO, anyone interested in San Pedro? I am giving away for free

  34. @PsyCLown well, I get what you're saying, that not all fungus form a symbiotic relatioship with all plants, that's spot on. however, what I said is that "mycorrhizal" fungi grow in symbiosis with plants. in general. rhizomorphs, on the other hand, cast a broad net of different kinds of "root forming" species, (plants rhizomorph aswell, because they form roots, not only fungus) and from the group of all rhisomorphs you might find a few that don't grow in symbiosis with certain plants. Rhizomorph was just the wrong word, but mycorrhizal fungi cannot affect your crop negatively, because that literally deminishes the meaning of the word mycorrhizal. here is a pdf, first few words will explain. https://extension.okstate.edu/fact-sheets/print-publications/hla/mycorrhizal-fungi-hla-6449.pdf you can google if you want a more reliable source

  38. just a little - this could possibly mean nothing here, but just a few pointers to keep in mind when working with pine when composting we avoid pine wood/bark/needles all together, because it messes with the ph of the soil. when planting acid loving plants such as Fynbos, Hydrangeas and Azaleas it's recommended to add some pine bark/needles to turn the soil acidic. pine oil is also antifungal which makes it harmfull to some microbes, the mycelial mass you see there is most probably one specific species that love pine and might not be a rhizomorph (a fungus growing in symbiotic relation with plants) that looks to be more of a saprotroph (fungus that grows on dead or decaying organic matter). when we forage mushrooms we don't pick mushrooms growing on or near pine trees as the pine juice / oil is not good for human consumption and the mushrooms or well any microbial life upsorb it unknowingly. generally I don't like putting any decaying wood in my soils, unless still in the composting heap while it's cooking. the reason is because the life inside the rhizosphere is not active enough to break down whole peices of wood fast enough so it becomes a breeding ground for unwanted pathogens and even lures insect life, who knows there might even be eggs already laid inside the wood.
