  1. 8 up. 9 if you count the 2 that came up in one pot. Soil is a bit hot for them, but they are soldiering through it.

  3. I have had a look at the build quality of these lights and I am impressed at the sleek design and lekker meters and dimmers... It's all round a sweet deal. I bought some lights via light it up a while back but it was a bit more DIY than what they offer now... But the LED's are the same... And I am very happy! Changed my grow from zero to hero and intend on buying more

  4. I've been away from the forum for a bit, so first post in a while . Hi everyone :) I just purchased a 240W Quantum Board from @Light It Up and I'm very exited to start using it. (Unfortunately I'm moving soon so I probably will have to wait two weeks before I actually can ) The experience with @Light It Up was excellent. They answered questions before I had purchases and were quick and friendly. The delivery was amazingly fast and everything was packed really nicely. Very impressive. Once I've moved and setup a grow area I'll start a grow diary. I can't wait to see how much difference using proper lights makes. I'm not sure how I'll know what to set the dimmer too. I'll take a look around and see if there is any info so long. Here are some pics Lights: Heat sink: Driver, dimmer and power meter display Mounting wire & Rope Ratchets Power meter with different dimmer settings (kak photos, sorry)

  5. Have heard of some guys having decent results with this soil but I've always been a skeptic... https://www.timeslive.co.za/news/south-africa/2020-11-23-up-in-smoke-uk-businessman-cries-foul-after-sa-firm-offloads-his-product-to-dagga-growers/

  6. @PsyCLown Well i cant say for sure how much truth there is in this story but the one thing that im absolutely certain of is that theres a lot more bullshit than truth and none of it in Just Cannabis's favour either Because how the fuck do they go & respond (on record nogal) making the claim that the product is substandard but because their supplier refused to do anything therefore UK company is in breach of contract - thats pure bullshit for 2 simple reasons 1.) they continued to sell the substandard product at a premium price - R180 for 30lt is pretty up there --- so one things for sure if they didnt fuck over their supplier they fucked over their customer and in my books if you capable of doing one its likely you done both 2.) breaching a contract doesnt mean you get the keep the shit AND still not pay for it - go breach your home loan and see if the bank gives you any money back so i mean instead of REFUSING to sell a substandard product they rather doubled down, packaged & marketed the subspar goods as their own inhouse premium brand with a premium price so i mean it begs the question if the soil is subpar then why continue scamming end users by claiming its premium and if its not subpar then why the fuck dont you just pay your invoices like the rest of us and stop giving the country a bad name. @Chris Jay yeah, but shame this Pommie still thinks he's getting paid though....someone never explained to him what a "ya bru" is lmao

  7. Yikes, quite a sight to see. You've always had a beautiful canopy and a great looking grow. Seems those who are happy with the soil are not using any nutes, so perhaps the soil has more amendments in it compared to the Freedom Farms soil and the addition of nutes is just too much for the plants? @JeffVader please do keep us posted.

  8. @Wulf indeed :). However then its worth noting that the driver and LED used in this light is very well respected here on the forum and elsewhere. So if you are in a hurry you can assume that its a good product and only compare on price knowing its going to work well. (And for build quality and price... this is the best deal I've seen locally) Good luck

  9. I have most of my plants in his soil and they grow perfectly well. Without fertilizer. He's doing tests on his soil regularly and publicises these tests on his website contrary to most other soil producers. I hope the ones that claim it's a ph issue have actually tested it instead of guessing. I'd contact Jamie directly.

  10. I geuss what I am asking, is hows the quality of the light, since my knowledge on the subject sits at zero as I have never personally used a LED light, never mind this specific one... as I keep saying I am a complete newbie to this entire process and at this time I am basing a lot of my decisions on what you very knowledgeable people say and do. TIA!

  12. Seriously well done on being sober for 1 month. I was supposed be "drinking" sober this month. It went as well as the ANC manages municipalities. Besides that I always try and detox every now and again though, go for a couple weeks without drink, smoke or sugar. Come from bad genetics with substance abuse problems, so its something I try and stay on top of. So movember is out, Stupid for me to try in December as we making moonshine and I have to taste, judge, dive in. But yeah new year, new me, new rules BS. Maybe Feb. Great to see someone showing their will power.

  14. @Psylecta Detailed answer with obviously a lot of business and legal knowledge. Surprised any company would send such a large volume of stock on consignment to South Africa. Silly to cry foul now and start playing the expensive game with lawyers. Sorry to say you can clearly see a dodgy deal from the South African side of things. Damn we are going down the tubes, very fast.

  15. LOL - what soil are we talking about here though? all the say was that it was substandard coco peat? Kudo's to the journalist for using "Dagga growers" as clickbait lol it became pretty obvious us growers have nothing to do with the story so whether the end users of the soil were nuns growing roses or dagga koppe growing mad nugs is TOTALLY IRRELEVANT but i must say it was an interesting read so thanks for that My 2c = If this UK business man brings a suit against them these guys are fucked, its gonna take a long time but as long as the UK supplier doesn't give up/get gatvol of paying for lawyers these guys are screwed, i must say he's an idiot for sending that stock without having secured a deposit or at the very least having the buyers sign surety in their personal capacity as collateral in the likely event he wasnt paid (I say likely because its clear this is his first time dealing with south africans) Whats funny though is how the buyers are now claiming breach of contract & the product was substandard (both of which are possible) but they never returned the product or attempted to rectify the issue so if the product was infact substandard which i doubt because no one spends over a million for subpar stock & starts a new company to sell that same subpar stock so its starting to look pretty obvious like suggested in the piece that the newly registered company was only setup after acquiring the stock in order to sell the product without the guy in the UK being able to point back and say if the product is so bad then why so you continue to sell it? Either way things not looking too good for Progrow or Just Cannabis - all that UK guy needs to do is prove that the stock sold by just cannabis was acquired/supplied through Progrow & "sold" to just cannabis.......open & shut case. - however this isnt a win for the UK dude as he's very unlikely to get a cent for that stock as its very likely those companies were registered as a CC which would make the directors not liable for debts incurred in a personal capacity, however he could bring a case of fraud of theft by deception against them, but doing so is going to cost him more than what its worth..........Schoolfees paid thats for sure

  16. Hmm, wonder how much truth there is to this. Progrow opening up a new company and reselling their "soil" as Just Cannabis.

  17. @JeffVader, I think that's a great idea. I had ph issues with my own soilmix this year. Effed up big time there. Which is why I bought Jamie's soil for now. Used to grow in FF soil in the past and also never had an issue. I took clones from my effected plants and put them into his soil. Now they look way better. If it should be a bad batch of soil it's good to give feedback to Jamie so he can avoid what ever caused it in the future.

  18. I have repotted but still have some left in the bag, will do a runoff test later today. I will post here after contacting Jamie directly with the findings. It would be great if the bags where marked with batch numbers to track this down. It's rare but not impossible that a bad batch comes through every once in a while, this is organic after all. My plan now is to take take clones from the outdoors which are a lot healthier. I don't want to loose this strain of cheese as the guy who gave it to me immigrated earlier this year.

  26. So, Sober October was called to an end last night... Feeling great after this month's detox. Started a training schedule, and putt on some weight at the same time. Hope to keep up with the training in the weeks to come... Blazed up a spliff after 1month, some blue dream from my last harvest... like a noob, I didn't need much, only got to about halfway and it was more than enough ... Then went trick-or-treating with the offspring... Sweet tooth sorted after that Be safe bro's
