  3. Cocopopo Auto & Gelato Samba Auto - day 81. I've upgraded my light yesterday. Switched from the QB75 to the QB130. I'm saving the extra 75watts for the next run. So far, looks good.

  14. So this is what my current feminized run looks like. Plants between 3 and 5 weeks of flower. I have 3 different chocolope NL phenos, and Chocolope NL #1 is the pollen donor, her one branch was treated and the other left untreated with STS. Then there is an OKC, Slurricane, And Green Crack. Pollination has started. ...

  15. So thought I would start a new grow diary. I have abit of a mixed bag with autos and photos, but the autos will be moved outdoors as time goes (turns out my landlord is cool with me growing). On the left is Mexican Airlines and C4 from Fastbuds. Then on the right is Banana Daddy and Zour Apples. I am growing in the same 30L Organics Matters soil from my last grow as i never had cash for new dirt, i will wait and see if any problems arise. The Ethos ladies will be mainlined to 8 mains each while the Fastbuds girls might see some LST if required but i plan to let them grow free. All of them will be getting Biobizz Fish mix, Bloom, Grow and Topmax. I hacked up my light so I could move it around for better coverage. I really do need to invest in some proper lighting.

  16. High guys Last year's Indoor growoff, in my opinion, went relatively well. It was ultimately plagued by a number of issues that prevented it from being a success though. With what we have learn't from last year's indoor growoff I'd like to get your guys input on how we can iron out the issues and get it to run more smoothly. I would really like to keep the growoffs going annually but the amount of effort that was put in wasn't matched by participation and co-operation. It takes a lot to organise a comp of this kind, if the amount of effort that is put in isn't matched by participation then it just isn't worth the effort. Here are my thoughts on what didn't go well last year: People mainly struggled to stay in line with the rules and procedure. With big sponsors on board we had to lay out a procedure and rules, some disagreed with it but I felt it was necessary nor difficult to follow. To those that participated, were the rules too difficult to follow? How can they be improved? There were 2 sponsors who did not honour their prizes. Green Leaf Organics went, and still is, AWOL. Then Sustainable Village SA did not honour their prize. The distribution of seeds actually didn't go too badly, I feel we executed it pretty well. On the other hand many of those who received the seeds didn't actually participate. It may be best if we allow a diversity of genetics but this immediately taints the legitimacy of the competition to some extent. I'm of the opinion that if we don't have the same cultivar, the growoff isn't worth it. I know that even with the same cultivar the variety of phenos can be diverse, especially with a cultivar that is not fully stabilized but it just keeps things fair. There are more points and I will add them in due course. The point is to get this discussion going in the mean time. Would love to hear input from you guys

  17. The Jack Berry with the 3 branches turned out the same as the plant I got the seed from. 7 instead of the 5 leaf set up and bushy as hell at 3 weeks. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  20. Really dissapointed to hear people would actually take the piss like that - forum should create a blacklist of somekind for these dodgy bastards but i would agree that having a requirement of 3- 5 grows DOCUMENTED on forum is a good way to deter that kind of shady behaviour at least then one can be more certain that majority of entrants will participate & more likely to log diary/follow rules (or atleast have no excuse not to log diary/follow rules) & as a result would be less of an effort to regulate as everyone should have a good idea of what/what not to do

  22. Yeah both are definitely ladybugs so no need to worry there, they like the king of bugmunchers so If these critters aren't already in abundance id suggest planting a few companion plants nearby to encourage more of them that way you'll dont have to worry about bugs infesting your grow/munching leaves as they'll clear out anything smaller than themselves - Indoor growers with spider mites commonly let these guys loose in growroom

  26. Welcome! Exciting times! Best you get a grow of your own going ASAP too then. Commercial growing vs home growing will differ a bit, so keep that in mind when reading the info available on the forum. If you have any questions you cannot find answers to on the forum, start a new thread and I am sure the members will be able to assist.

  27. Another little update: The 2 in the smaller pot have been inside the tent under 12/12 for the past 5 days as I was away so not much growth on those 2 but the 1 outside has grown substantially in the past few days! Let's hope they show some pistols soon

  34. Thanks a lot @afternoon blazer , years of pollen chucking, selection and dumb luck! The final say will be in the smoke though, in about a month or so should be dried and a bit cured to sample. Will gauge the flavor over 3 runs or so.

  35. Decided not to top again, I have 6 colas on each plant which I think is fine. Transplanting next week to it's final pot then will transition to flower a week or two after.

  36. She's about ready to come down, stellar plant, looking foward to run her this season outdoors as well as indoor. The smoke will have to be hella dissapointing not to keep her around as a clonenonly cut. Still smelling like diesel berries with that chem funk

  38. Morning again fine people. Update time. This baby makes me smile everytime i look at it. Week 8 - Day 60. No training. No defoil. Nutez from start of week 4. 8 liter pot. 24 hour light until week 5 ( 9 hours of sun from week 2 and the rest was LED floodlight. From week 5 to current, about 10 hours of sunlight only. She stands about 40cm tall. Probably flush at the start of week 9. Trichz are mostly cloudy. Theres some rotational shots.

  39. They started to get pretty bad so I decided to trim them. (like over 60% yellow) This is her now (left), topped yesterday after the 4th node. Will top the other one within the next few days too I want to LST my new colas next week and then top each of them once more, then LST again. I installed a proper extraction fan yesterday.. trying to get that humidity down

  42. Greetings all. well not much to complain about, no major problems either. This is Choc Kush and looking the best in the tent. Going to be some nice colas from tbis lady as all the branches are loaded with bud sites. Then we have Sherb breath, this plant smells like mixed candy bowl/ packet skittles. She was a lil stretchy but not to much at all, also building lovely bud sites. Then there is this lady,Jacob's Ladder wow she is eager with the resin production and pushing some citrus smells. took clones and all have roots, running out of veg space fast but there is always a way. Already setup for a lekker outdoor season with soil cooking and clones ready to go outside. Some leka forest leaves and wood to boost the microbes, enjoying AACT when turning.

  43. Reading through your post and thinking about it. it makes sense to have an entry fee. You get respect for it, I am talking about the people paying the entries. It can be used for the distribution costs, so you dont have suppliers letting you down. Free does not work, people dont respect free. Throw the entries into a kitty of sort and make the winnings bigger or lets donate that as a community to the Dagga Couple/ Fields of Green for All. Afterall they are the reason why we can grow in the first place. I dont think you should eliminate newbie growers, but of course they need to be active in the community. Just want to say keep it up. I won 3rd prize in a comp on here last year, never expected anything and received my prize very quickly. Great community!!
