Lesotho Heights cob after 11 days of fermenting at around 40C. Opened the vac vag twice to air dry the cob. Now it's been dehusked, dried for 24h and revac sealed to be reopened in a few weeks or months. Smoked a gram or so mixed with some dry flower and definitely a smooth smoke, leading to deeper puffs and heavier effects. Definitely knocks and drops tolerance levels, had to, for a long time actually limit consumption. Waiting to see how things pan out during the cure

Thanks guys, good to know I am in good company. At the moment I am preparing for next outdoor season and enjoy my cured harvest ...and with all the Covid stuff going on I have more than enough time on my hands to do some online research. My aim is to get the best quality out of the genetics I got. Quantity is not important for me. Last season I started with some photoperiod plants and some Autos in the end of September. That way i could harvest twice. The Autos came down around christmas and the photoperiod seeds where harvested in the end of March/ beginning of April. Below you'll find some pictures of my last grow. Dinafem - Purple Afghan Kush Ethos - Inzane in the membrane Dutch Passion - Auto Brooklyn Sunrise Dutch Passion - Auto White Widdow I can really recommend all plants above. The Inzane is one of my new favorite Sativas with a trichome production out of this world. In the one picture you can see that I mainlined the plant. I do that to all my photoperiod plants as all budsites get a similar amount of light and also it's not so vulnerable to the wind we get here in the Western cape. I look forward to start my grow diary here as soon as spring is here.

Jarred the Royal Gorilla, total dry weight is 54g The GDP weighed in at 36g. So the total grow for two plants with my wonky mainline came in at 90g Which brings this grow to a close. My conclusion is that my yields were diminished by a poorly structured mainline that had way too many side shoots that produced pissy little airy buds that took away from the main colas. I went in mentally wanting to see what would happen if certain shoots were left to grow along with the main stems but not nearly any of them grew anything noteworthy. I have a really good idea of how I want to mainline my next plants and go back to a similar method that I incorporated in my first grow; designating and favouring the main stems and focusing energy to the main colas with a tactfully done defolation to complement. I also experimented with heavy fluctuations in temperature between lights on and lights off during flower, which yielded in the most colour production I've seen on any of my plants so far. I do feel that I started too early with the fluctuations; essentially at flip. I think it would have been better to do it closer to the end and final week of flowering, during the ripening stage. The overall temperature of both plants during the entire flowering period was quite cold in general, averaging at about 15C I'd guess, with lows as far as 11C. Although no adverse affects were experienced health wise, I do feel it had diminished potential yields. Tasty buds have been grown and enjoyed regardless. Speaking of, having had some of the Gran Daddy Purple after a week of drying and a further week of curing, it is a very mellow almost meditative strain. I wouldn't suggest any thought-heavy tasks while on the GDP as the mind really wants to wonder. I would say it is very good for stress and winding down in the evenings. A bitter grapefruit aroma can be enjoyed from the grinder after crushing a little bit of the herb. It's a sneaky one too with a drawn out affect. You wonder where the high is initially and as you wonder, you keep wondering, only to realise further down the line that you are in fact quite stoned. I would definitely like to grow this strain again. Once I have had some time with the Royal Gorilla I'll post a little short something something

so i removed the 320 and had to pull all my plants together. Its a bit of a shit show atm. i found the problem i guess. a faulty multi plug with a power surge effort that went haywire intermittendly and has basiclly fcked my entire grow. ok not entire. but many of my plants have seeded here and there 2 x LSP Hermiea.Those ladies are outside now. (its not that bad but its still seeded and a massive loss to a gorgeous plant) 1 x slurrijug still inside the tent as its almost finished. guess i will have to pick out some seeds this time.before smoking lol. I have moved all plants next to each other under 480w if 300ok leds. i split my one light up for coverage over the entire 1.2 x 1.2m area the plants now occupy. Various plants are at different stages of flowering. they all mobile so I can shift them without too much hassle. i think ill just finish this grow off before i start anything new. those seeds need to.hang on and wait. the bud bud bling tingz and tropicanna rose is massive so im unsure what i should do with it... anyway. so below we have the current all squashed up together but i have a lot.of fans on them Then i suppose its only fitting to show my hermie Who can Spot the seed?

I dont really train my plants. I just top the once or twice and let them grow.

Haha nah bro, I don't spend much there, just my nutes and soil whenever I need. I spotted the stickers on the shelf and when I asked how much they were, he just gave me a bunch for free. I always try to make convo about growing with the guys there and ask about what new products they're getting. They seem to appreciate the interest in the company. Hi fellow growers, I started growing cannabis around 10 years ago. Back then I still lived at a place where outdoor growing wasn't an option due to the short summer, so I started off with indoor soil grows. However I moved to SA about 8 years ago and started growing outdoors as nothing beats the South African sun (yes it's possible to grow awesome weed outdoors ). So far I tried to keep it as organic as possible growing in soil and using Biobizz. I grow Autoflowering and photoperiod strains. For the next outdoor season I plan to create my own super soil. I have read up on this topic a lot but I hope I'll find some good information on here too. I just got my own worm farm and started a compost heap. Looking forward to be part of this community. Get good soil.... IMPORTANT... Plant them straight into a 30L pot. Ensure the temp does not drop below 20ºc and give them as much sunlight as possible.. If you have good soil, no feeding required. Just do it.... and grow....

I have ordered from them. The seeds came in a bank bag with the strain written on the bag. Only got around to planting those seeds now. One did not make it out of the soil the other is completely different from other plants I have grown gorilla zkittles from Barney's Farm apparently. I quite like the look of it.

Thanks man, I have grown six of them recently. 5 of them grew quite uniform and one looked totally different. It's an awesome daytime smoke as promised by dutch passion. However if you smoke enough she will make you sleep like a baby :).

Ah....hi everyone. Got a little distracted. Had multiple disasters with my various plants. They all died, except for two. One was male. Wow ! I had no idea what pollen production would be. lol. With great sadness, for some reason that died too. Leaving me with one plant which sprouted in early autumn. Tomorrow is the winter solstice. Should I harvest yet ? Got one serious bud. And a bunch of littluns.

Sooo ^^ I continue this one.. and was half the day preparing the battle of the boards My main focus is this one: I do not look for more yield, I would like to reduce my energy consumption and have the same yield. Based on that, I decided to let 3 QBs 288 IM301H with 125 Watt.. I didn't measure that today, had a issue with the wifi and busy enough. I get the proper numbers over a smart plug tomorrow. But lets run factory.. 125 Watt a board, 375 Watt on the QBs against the 450 Watt (also using the number from the smart plug, same source of error). 75 Watt less on a 1.2x1.2 area, I would enjoy that. The TS3000 is a finished product, so it will compete as it is. The QBs i build into 4 lamps, 3 will go into the battle ^^ Those lamps I hang spread over the canape. To get fair numbers, I measured the lamps on the same black non reflective surface with different hanging distance to fixed raised spots to eliminate any ground light wash. I used 30, 45, 50, 60 70 cm distances and leveled lamps. The first I learned is that I was so completely wrong about my hanging distance, rather shocked I got those 976g per m2 I was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to close. Damn.. that quantum flux meter is a eye opener. Mars tells you to put the TS3 on 30-45 cm for flowering.. no ^^ don't do that. Go 75 cm distance for veg and 60cm for flower.. rest is waste and to narrow foot print. If you use a CO2 generator.. crank it up if you go on 30 cm 1280 micromol... Big BADA BUM The QBs will go 65cm for Veg and 50cm for Flower. They are 80 micromol weaker spread over the canape, but we still talk 75 watt less. So this could be a very interesting compare. I let 3 strains run and will have spares to make swaps for genetic lower plants. I try to be as fair as I can be. Both sets will get bottom feeding over a 1.2x1.2 tray. Biggest harvest over all strains wins.. i dropped the seeds today As my Fastbuds seeds are with the Post Office ^^ and I am bored. I went Nirvana seeds.. Bubblelicious, Blue Cheese, Blueberry Kush.. all autos what else!

Greetings Fam. There isn't much happening in the tent but the buds have started to pack on some weight. I fed them a day or 2 ago and rigged together a magnetic stirrer to put into the new CO2 generator bottle, I hooked it up to the light timer. This way it increases CO2 production during the light cycle by lightly stirring the solution and stops once the lights go out. As a separate project, I made a wing reflector out of a can and mounted 2 HID LED car headlights on it. I have it in a Microgrow box that I'll reveal to you guys in a separate thread. The entire system is 12V and runs off a PC power supply. Anyway, here are some pictures of what the Inzane tree looks like right now. The Frost is real, lol

I read a nice blog on the RQS website this week. It is all about soil mixes for autoflowers. It kind of gives my theory some backing atm. Will post a link when i find it again. My biggest Autoflowers to date.

Why have you decided on this tent specifically? You could probably find an alternative in the size you want at most likely a cheaper price I recently went for a generic tent over a Secret Jardin. I can see the appeal of the SJ tents, and the accessories are pretty neat.

I wanted to do this but running my light cycle during the day in summer resulted in temps pushing 29-30°C... I really wanted the colours but I didn't want to compromise the buds flavor and scent a lot. If I can figure out how, I want to drop temps during the day in my garage or just for the tent then I'll have room to experiment with temps... I'm designing a small electric aircon for my tents intake. Hopefully I can optimise it and get some actual cooling going on. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

This thread has seen a little revival. Can't argue with @Budwizer's build! At the moment I'm taking air from inside the garage as it's winter. In the summer my garage becomes an oven so receiving air from outside becomes more crucial.

Here’s how you do it: Build a plywood box and make drawers for it. The drawers don’t have bottoms. Buy filter elements and put them in the drawers. Easy to clean.

You might have a license to grow for R23000 but your product will still fall under the Medicines and Related Substances Act. Your product will be scheduled, will need to be registered per strain and per product made and quality control standards will come into play. Okes playing in the black market that try going legal under whatever legal framework is presented here might as well just stay in the black market. There will be no ability for the small farmer to make a legal living off of the herb in SA anytime soon. I predict things to go the same way as it has in Canada; commercially focused, focus on exports, and fokol for the little guy.

If i think about it in a basic DIY point of view, you could use a cone filter that cars use on there air intake and just duct it to your intake ? Yes its not as fancy as your option but cone filters go for so cheap so i rate its worth a shot. I just thought if it could keep your engine clean from dust and bugs it would do the same for the grow area ? Just a random brain fart
