  2. @Ill_Evan There no such thing as Indica gives me couch locked effect and sativa gives energy its all subjective. My same strain produced a harvest that i felt like made me lazy and my latest harvest is an energetic one.....same strain. Just like a wine, how its grown and at what latitude and altitude its all different factors.... my theory.

  4. 600w isn't all that much, 3A roughly. Standard 1mm wire will be sufficient for that length. Generally 1mm copper cable is rated at 10a or 16a I think - a few things which come into play but 1mm is more than sufficient.

  5. Sorry to hear that boet. Any issues, let us know if you need a parcel or some gummies. Trust you can play in the sun at least?

  6. I had a bit of an issue with the break inn. But we are ok. I kept a couple of plants to play with. Only have a small amount that are still growing. But shutting the indoor down for summer. Just have 4 to go. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  9. You might have a license to grow for R23000 but your product will still fall under the Medicines and Related Substances Act. Your product will be scheduled, will need to be registered per strain and per product made and quality control standards will come into play. Okes playing in the black market that try going legal under whatever legal framework is presented here might as well just stay in the black market. There will be no ability for the small farmer to make a legal living off of the herb in SA anytime soon. I predict things to go the same way as it has in Canada; commercially focused, focus on exports, and fokol for the little guy.

  11. 3m max.... Max max max.... And I couldn't figure it out either... I could probably................ Okay so I did some reading. And the reason you can't have very long cables is because of an increase in capacitance of the wire which can lead to excessive capacitive leakage and shut down the ballast. @nakes, I took a quick look for you, and it seems 25' or 7.62m... Quite a bit short of your 17m. Also, another site said not a fuck... 2ft max... So there is some controversy on what is acceptable... I think your electronic ballast also works with capacitance and a similar principle might apply. Cant you mount it closer?

  12. Well - with Dube-Ncube , it is not going to be easy. lol I am all for a CDC in SA Problem is you hef to be blek to get anything from this local zulu gubment. IF they do not get their cut, you haf no bisiness doing bisiness Look after yoself first. Be safe and be insignificant. Then get a club or co-op going. Here where I live, da council voted to build a Maize milling plant and 'ordered' one. They have yet to produce a bag of mazampan with their 3 yr old plant. They have now asked da boere to donate maize. WTF!?! A small co-op amongst growers will do it. I am setting up as an extractor contractor. Washplant bought to batch wet green.

  14. Looking good @Smelly Joe they can be quite hungry so I think will respond nicely to the teas and brews, the microbial life must be loving it! One thing I would say is just how the Kelp was treated after collection. It should soak in a big tub of water to help leech out some of the salts that could cause issues. If your friend is using it without issues it should be fine, I use it in soil building from time to time, soaked in a old tub for a day or two then dried again, crushed and into the soil/compost building.

  15. Some pics from last night, coming along nicely. Branches are already drooping with the weight of the buds.

  18. Thanks man. Just another update as they are now into week 6. This Bananium has been heavily neglected, not sure I've even really taken pictures of her since she's a shorter girl. But she's really starting to come into her own now, looking frosty and starting to build buds. Similarly, below is my Mandarin Cookies which is sitting at the back of the tent and not getting much love at all, but she seems to be doing great. Below is the Alien Wedding, Orange Kush Cake and Sugar Cane #1 in that order:

  19. Afternoon Mister Dank, Checked the stalks, mine have a sharp spicy, minty almost menthol-like scent. Good signs. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  21. She has taken to the new pot and growing has taken off. I got a tea brew from a friend. We went to a job and passed by the coast and picked up some kelp. Chopped it up and made a tea. He added some guano to it. I took 5L and diluted it and gave to the ladies. Any thing I'm missing or over looking @Dank

  22. I hear you, one statement was promising though. "...We are however not going to marginalize the ordinary south african, everybody will have the opportunity..." or something to that effect. All we can do is hope for the best...

  23. That's a good question..... Not sure how much truth there is, but it seems the legeslation and regulation is going to be prohibitively expensive. Only 23K for a licence....nevermind land, water, eletricity, infrastructure and security requirements. (You can distill moonshine in your garage with a R100/year licence) Where is the small guy in this picture? Is there a place for a artisinal small scale grower like myself??? Starting to get the feeling that I'm too small a fish in this pond. (Speaking for myself-other members should add their own opinions) ''Cannabis Growers Cooperative'' anyone?
