  1. Hey guys, so im very excited about this lady. she was gifted to me by Highchome, thanks dude i will treat her well. So i got her in pure coco/perlite mix, re-potted into coco/perlite/soil mix into 20lt pot. did some lower branch training to maximize light penetration. The first pic was when i just got her, 2nd after all the adjustments. i put her into the sunlight on Saturday and she loved it. Back in the garage now with the other plants.

  3. Flowering : Week 4 All going well. The ebb & flow system is brilliant. Feeding up to 1.4 EC, before letting go back to 1, then repeat. Sugar leaves are starting to show a dusting of trichs.

  5. Entry #2 This is something I created - Cannart. Simplicity = draw a picture and put cured cannabis as part of the feature ...the problem is I end up smoking my own art!

  7. Update: They were stunted for the longest time due to over crowding in the one tent, waited for them to get a solid root zone and transplanted. Plants on the outer edges are my RGxBB cross and then there is a mix of ghost train haze and ethos (the small one, and the smaller pots (waiting for better root zone)). This was post transplant, hence their droppy appearance.

  9. Day 46 Plants are doing well, I am intrigued by the way the CBD Critical Mass is growing still, quite different compared to the others and looks a bit different too - not in a bad way, just different. I have not flipped to flower yet, will be doing so soon though, I am getting impatient. I need to make sure my current clones get rooted first and then I need to take some more clones and then I can flip. The bagseed has stayed very short compared to the other plants, despite being older. They're all in the same environment. I like the way the canopy has formed on the bagseed. The GDP #2 is not in the tent, it's in the veg room. It seems to have gotten stunted after repotting - perhaps I fucked up with it. GDP #1 is not showing it's sex yet, although is not stunted. So if GDP #1 is a female then I will continue with that and cull or give away GDP #2. I have stopped the LST with GDP#2 until I get confirmation of sex. Perhaps it seems silly to get rid of a GDP when I have a bagseed going, but I feel I have committed soo much time and effort into the bagseed that I may as well flower it and see what it yields, I have not taken any clones of it so have no way of ever growing it again and obviously no way of knowing what it is. The mystery is rather exciting to a point, not something I'll do again in a hurry - if ever again.

  15. I see the Fourways branch is open again after they closed their doors for a few weeks waiting for "legal documents" from head office. According to their Instagram they have NOT been raided and are back in business. Good luck to them sitting right across the Douglasdale police station. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

  17. Welcome @nakes Take a look at the Cape Town club on the forum (https://www.420sa.co.za/clubs/3-cape-town/). Once you get to 30 posts there is also a seed & clone exchange club you can join. What are you planning for your setup?

  19. Yea once you have a couple bouts of pm, the borg or thrips you will be pulling off all the excess leaves that dont belong. You will find they photosythesise better with new healthy leaves, they focus all the growth auxins up the plant instead of maintaining that uncle that you gotta keep paying for.

  20. I cut them. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  21. I believe you should pull them off once they are at max size and are being shaded by the higher better lit leaves. Defoliation helps the plant to direct energy to the new growth instead of maintaining older leaves. And besides old leaves are targets for pests.

  22. So a quick update, the plants are looking much better now! Charlottes Angel #2 has recovered nicely. I have deiced to continue with the LST on the Daquari Lime #1 and it's responding very well and I like the growth it's showing. The Daquari Lime is growing very differently compared to the Charlottes Angel which appears to be bushier and not wanting to grow as tall. Both strains are meant to be Sativa dominant. The next spray will happen on Monday evening if all goes to plan.

  23. Nah that's marks from the peroxide and milk i sprayed previous round tried to clean it but it stained the tent a bit specially the steel poles. I definitely need to get a dehumidifier though as my RH spikes during lights off. I did add the second net but they didn't stretch as much as I would have liked seems like the added lights prevented stretch I'm happy to say all the clones rooted

  26. Just an update on these plants. Photos taken Monday. All been defoliated. no clue of sex yet, heres to hoping for at least a 70% female return.

  27. So I trimmed the 3 plants in front, defoliated and cleaned them up quite a bit. Another Bruce Banner plant started showing it sex (the one to the left in the picture), it was a female and a bit larger so I did some LST again as I had left it to do it's own thing for a bit and then swapped it out in my tent. The smaller (to the right in the picture) Bruce Banner will be going to another forum member as he has the space to grow it out, unlike me. I also noticed that the smaller Bruce Banner wasn't too happy with the previous feed, nutes were a bit too strong so I will ease up on the nutes for the next feed and then after that I will probably do a flush before flipping to flower. I much prefer the Plant Matter fabric pots (lighter colour) over the Grow Guru fabric pots (black). Their sizing is a bit more convenient, not as wide but a bit taller.

  28. Day 43 Sorry for the lack of update, I have since moved 6 of the plants to the tent for flowering, I culled 3 male plants and have 3 more plants which I am waiting for their sex to show. I also did an inoculation of some trichoderma, some BioInsek (fungus which works as a pesticide) and such. I also upped the feeding to 4ml/L and plants seem to have handled it pretty well and at this stage am looking at flipping over to flower within the next 2 weeks or so. The pictures were taken yesterday, I will try take some more pics tonight and add them as well. So far all is going well! The training has really helped keep my plants short, so space is currently not an issue at all.

  29. Planted this choco seed in March for germination testing. Left her in a 1l pot in the corner. Decided to see how she would go through her senescence. She did not hermie, and has reacted to the winter solstice. She has started revegging, so potted her up into a 20l pot. Nice little monster crop on the way that I may force flower in a few months.

Sounds more like bankies of weed to me... Several people... Jeez that doesn't even sound like 10 okes 115g? They better come grab me next coz fuck, my empire is about to hit the big time after harvest day This is scare tactics and a poor attempt at that too... Those tannies will be back home by the weekend

  35. The seedlings should bounce back fine, I would be careful of over watering with that medium, a technique i like is to simply feel the weight of the pot after you watered, compared to when it is a bit more dried out. When you transplant them into bigger pots at a later stage you could consider adding some perlite (if its available) into the mix, you can add anything from 30% to 50% perlite and be ok. This will make your mix a lot more aerated, will dry out quicker and plants roots will grow a lot faster. I also notice quite a bit of bark in your soil, while it is not the worst thing it the soil, it does require Nitrogen to break down, plants could get a bit short of N as they grow. After it breaks down it will start to release the N back into the soil. Does wood mulch deplete the soil of nitrogen? ... A: The nitrogen is not actuallydepleted, it's temporarily tied up. This can happen when organic materials low innitrogen, such as shredded wood chips or pine bark, are incorporated into the soil. - source nola.com/homegarden/2014/03/does_wood_mulch_deplete_the_so.html

  39. By making extracts or oils you can regulate your dosage better and have more if a consistent medicine without testing for the home user . If you made a good extract you know roughly how strong it is . You then can take your extract and use it in edibles or whatever you want to make . It's all about consistancy for your meds , if you though a handful of flowers into coconut oil you will get a different product every time but if you do an extraction and then use the extract you get a lot more of a consistent medication

  40. Thanks With a DSLR + 10mm Wide Angle + Reversing Ring + Extension Tubes + External Slave Flash + Lots and lots and lots of failed shots. The magnification ends up being to a point where even a tripod isn't sturdy enough because even the shutter and air movement is enough to move it fractions of a cm and move the subject out of focus.
