  1. Hi all, Since this will be my first grow and I plan on mostly growing outdoors (when the seasons allow) I didn’t really want to spend money on a tent. I decided to build a cabinet with stuff I had lying around. The only thing I bought for this build is the light. It’s not quite done, I still need to build the doors, seal the joints, paint, tidy wiring and install ducting (which I’ll also have to buy). Size: 1m x 1.4m x 1.7m Construction: Steel angle iron (repurposed shelving), 3mm Masonite (white one side, left overs from kitchen redo, that’s what’s on the back of your cupboards), Active exhaust (6” bathroom ceiling fan, my wife complained it’s too loud for the bathroom), passive inlet (for now, I’ll see what the temps do), 600w HID light (magnetic ballast, outside cabinet), I reinforced the roof with a few planks so it doubles as extra storage space. I built it in an outside store room, the room has a corrugated roof with a ceiling and it’s shaded by a big tree. It’s always a bit cooler in there than anywhere else on the property. Let me know if you have any suggestions. This wasn’t supposed to be a stealth build, I know it looks suspicious af.

  2. Sup 420SA Disclaimer: I breed Cannabis seed as a hobby to help preserve seeds (genetics) and possibly improve certain strains. I provide these genetics for free to our Collective of growers, most of which are medical patients. I am not a master breeder, this was the first year that I could see so many of my own crosses being grown out, a wonderful experience. After being a custodian for so many years, it is time we share the Fire with the community. Some of the bud shots will be grown by me, most pictures I will post here will be from growers and future breeders in our Collective. Blessed love

  3. Hey all ive started monitoring temperatures and humidity in my loft before spending and setting up tent etc.. what is a good level to know I’m not wasting my time? Im going to be using led so it should keep increased temperatures to a minimum but also aware it’s much cooler this time of year! I will be using lots of fans to cool the tent down but don’t know ideal inside outside tent temperatures

  5. Thanks both. Reading up now. Im trying to see if the space is right before spending on tent and led and then finding it’s too hot or damp! I’m writing each morning the readings

  6. I'd say lights off 18-20 is good and then 25-28 for lights on. Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  11. Going to give it a try by just letting the room naturally heat up more. I've added an update photo, can I start with some LST now? Thinking of just bending and not topping. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

  13. No problem, you are welcome. This is the best hobby in the world, happy to be able to help. Good luck, please, please just don't cook your baby, slow and steady, 27 degrees is a safe bet, temps can go down some when she is sleeping.

  14. Its been a little while since I have been here. I have to admit, it can be lonely here frkm time to time. However here are some shots as I harvested the Autos and the other plants flowering very nicely now The above pic is my Girl scout cookies. I am starting to like this one a lot. This above image is officially my first harvest. It's not massive like the rest of you but I think I got some good bud nevertheless. And finally the little Auto AK. Also small. Lots of lessons learnt.

  16. I am with you guys. Until the law has been published by parliament this will be illegal. Lets see where all this goes. I am sure the 420sa cannabis club branches will be the shit. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  17. The whole situation is very 'interesting'. Because these franchise owners are getting the businesses signed off on by the cops and in some cases the state prosecutors as well. So it's not like they're just opening and hoping for the best, they do have legal paperwork relating to the business. But the fact remains that even the permission they are getting, isn't technically legal. I think it will protect them from local law enforcement for the most part, but I think once the Hawks get a taste of what's going on, shit is going to turn bad very quickly... Both for the businesses and police/prosecutors giving the franchises the go-ahead. I am just not a fan of the way the franchising works... For instance, the Helderberg branch is being opened by two guys who know their shit (Angelos from Mushigoat and Ben from Biltong and Budz), and they have also worked through the police in this. But the difference between a franchise opened by respected guys in the industry and someone with R25k and a dream of getting rich, is going to result in so much different quality between branches. Maybe I'm a bit bias, having chatted with the Helderberg guys, and being so close to it... I'm a bit torn though, because I like the idea of normalizing the concept of cannabis sales, while not really liking the exclusivity in this venture, a bit of a monopoly type vibe. But I can understand why people are wanting to get involved.
