well, after listening to the sentiments of the IFP dude Singh and the woman from the SAMA, Im skeptical as to how close we really are to full legalisation. That IFP dude is trying to steal some of the limelight from his predecessor, Dr Ambrosini, and is using the herb for solely for furthering his political career. He does not express any enthusiasm about the herb, and as the Dagga couple mentioned, there was a closed doors government meeting with big pharma present. Dont know man, but am a bit underwhelmed at the moment....::)

It's unbelievably absurd that the SAMA requires a larger "sample size" of data in order to decide on marijuana's medical merits, considering that far more advanced societies have already recognised and have embraced the herb. Not to mention that bhang or weed has been consumed medicinally for longer than recorded history. F*ck. they (SAMA) have even decided that marijuana will only be prescribed as a last resort until they have exhausted other means of treatment. Fark that, what about preventative medicine?what about a persons right to choose what he she ingests?

what about traditional healing? its really sad to see and hear a S.African person of colour whose traditional belief system is based on ancestral reverence go on about big pharma inspired medical studies and trials of a substance that has never caused a single death by overdose. really pathetic state of affairs.
