Cape Town Cannabis Cup 2023

Hope that your grows and you are doing well.

2023 is just around the corner. So I've started organising the Cape Town Cannabis Cup a bit earlier this time. It is taking place on Saturday the 25th of March.

2022 was dope AF. But there is always room for improvement. So I paid attention and listened to a lot of the feedback.

Limiting the entries to only 10 this year. Minimum of 50g per cultivar to enter.

Will have Judge Passes and regular tickets available online.

Happy to answer any queries and listen to any input here.
Please understand if I don't do everything that everyone suggests. Wouldn't be possible to get anything done that way.

Things are heating up and the 2nd Garden Route Cannabis Expo is on its way. 6/7 August in Plettenberg Bay. If you think last year was a success, I have a sneaky feeling this year will be even better. There are loads of fringe parties taking places, craft markets, talks, shows and much more. Below is the video from last years event that was almost postponed due to COVID regulations. Bathurst Agricultural Show

For the first time since COVID hit us, the Agricultural Show will be firing up again.

Glad to say within 2 weeks time, Cannabis will be making its debut at the oldest Agriculture Show in South Africa, the Bathurst Agricultural Show.

I have arranged a dedicated cannabis hall where the vendors below will be selling their cannabis products. We also have a cannabis plant category so people can enter their plants for judging and a certificate.

What would an event be without music, The Survivals Reggae Band will be playing on the Saturday night from 6pm and also organised a new band, Renaegades to play to. The Survivals will be heading to the New York State fair at the end of August, so my friends in the USA will also be enjoying some homegrown South African reggae.

Looking forward to the weekend of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of April.

Cape Town Cannabis Cup 2022

When attending 420 events one of the most frequent questions I get is "when are you gonna do another D-Day or Amber Cup?"
So I grabbed the bull by the horns when an opportunity presented itself.

The Cape Town Cannabis Cup will be taking place on Saturday the 26th of March in the heart of The Mother City.
This is conveniently on the same weekend as the Cannabis Expo and will make the most of top shelf local and international guests.

Am putting a lot of effort and expense into making this a V-High-P experience.

Hosting a cannabis event next weekend, 27th and 28th, Bathurst, Eastern Cape. Saturday is chilled and in conjunction with Bathurst Showgrounds Family day. Bmxing, horse show, market and crafters, pub and live music. Sunday is where it will get juicy with rosin pressing, workshop and talks. What is up oaks. This weekend is going to be awesome. It is the Cannabis expo in JHB at the sandton Convention centre. I for one am suuuuuper excited and will be there with family and a bunch of friends. Tickets are R150 online and R200 at the gates. Anyone from the forum going to just have a look and are there any suppliers also going to be there? It will be my first cannabis expo and am super excited. Any tips or cool advise for the expo is welcome.

Sorry for the late post, about to go to the event at my local. Growone.africa have been doing a roadtrip up from western Cape and through to Natal. They are doing live talks about the cannabis social club they manage and the current legislation. It might be worth attending one or two. Having a talk tonight at my local in Bathurst, and the Agricultural Museum. Its going to be dope. Catch them in IG as they move up the coast. I think the next event is in East London. These are the guys that run several social clubs software and compliance, one being the Pottery in PE and the Turtle House in Jeffreys Bay. Check them out.

Hey Guys, I will be hosting an event at my local watering hole this weekend, Sunday. Anyone is welcome to come and enjoy. A couple talks about soil and what to do with your left overs, a small 420 giveaway and should be a couple people selling homemade pipes and hemp items.

Looking for some advice/help about an Agri Show

The annual Bathurst Agricultural Show has been postponed two years straight. I met with the Agricultural society last week as they still want to run "mini shows", such as the horse show that ran last weekend. They are limited to 250 attendees at any given time and running a mini "informational" show at the end of May and would still like to include cannabis as category. The foot traffic is limited, there wont be many stall holders allowed, so I suggested I sell wall space e.g cannabis companies can rent wall space, place their brand on the wall. I have booked 10 of space already. I think its a huge opportunity for cannabis community to show what we got, so if anyone is interested in purchasing wall space ( the money goes to the societies non-profit ) please let me know. I am meeting with our local cannabis social club in a couple weeks to discuss entering live plants too, hopefully get atleast 10 plants on show, judged and prizes.

If you have any ideas, cannabis companies that could be interested, please drop a line. The coverage is huge and hopefully with a bit of luck it will be digital. Cashflow is a little tight, and the first quote for digitizing was 300K!!! Its a big opportunity to get your brand into the farming community.

Heads up. Looks like we ( cannabis community ) will have the first legit cannabis cup, right here in South Africa. The 113th annual agricultural show hosted in Bathurst ( 2,3,4 April ) is more than likely going to have a cannabis category this year. They are definately allowing cannabis companies to attend and promote their goods. More info to follow.

This was the past event, I felt guilty as my only competition was other exotic fruits and culinary herbs. So to you growers who would like to enter, please start growing or choose a plant you would like to enter. I hope its going to be a success like last years. After this years event I might have to move to another country. I will post updates here. All will be finalised by the 15th Jan 2020. Any local cannabis companies wishing to attend, please pm me and I will gladly tell you more info or book your place.
